I have no doubt you could, but I am not attempting to be dismissive...I am seeking understanding and if my attempts are failing, guidance would be constructive

I think her post rectifying it is adaquate. I'm happy to accept that as an explanation. I don't tend to set much store on things like that, and myself thank somewhat irratically (and find it not a burden) and for different reasons. someone else brought it up and her answer was intersting under the ciurcumstances as she had acknoweldged only the other one.

In fact she's done bloody well actually replying to most posts addressing to her. I'm not sure I would have done in her situation..
