Hi all

Sorry I haven't posted for what seems like ages (& in fact looking back on here, it has been ages!!!). Since returning from my stag weekend, which was my last post, it has been a none stop whirlwind of organisation, planning, conmitments (& that's just on the work front!) & of course . . . THE WEDDING!!!!!
Now I have to say, I could not have wished for the day to have gone any better, it was such an amazing day & now I have a beautiful wife
to share each & every part of my life with
We're now in the throws of organising our honeymoon, as we had a 3 week gap between wedding & honeymoon due to work commitments, which we are jetting off on next weekend & I can not wait :j As after organising the wedding, closing my previous work premises, helping construct the new showroom & pack our current factory up for the move - I'm exhusted
I've got to be honest I haven't done much MSE this past month, due to all of the above, but as soon as we're back from the honeymoon I'm gonna be striaght back on it!
I hope all is well with everyone else?! I will try & catch up on a few diaries now . . .
Take care everyone

Hi Guys,
Hope everyone is well?
Right it's back to earth with a bump time - had an amazing few weeks with the wedding & then a lovely honeymoon in Italy. Now we're home, back to work & time to work out how to pay for the previously mentioned!
The 1st big step I've done to aid in this, was to ask a previous work colleague if there was any part time jobs going at his work place, which apparently there are & he would happy take me on. So I've been working out if I do two shifts a week, I should be able to achieve an extra £150 gross (ball park). Which will certainly help towards paying things off
I'm going to start my daily spending dairy again, as I found this very helpful before.
My DW has also agreed to go through both our personal & joint fiancees, in order to budget properly. So positive steps all round :T
Right, got to dash but will try & post back on here over the weekend, once I've analyzed further.
Have a great friday night everyone, take care

Welcome back

So glad you had a fab honeymoon :T
Glad your DW is on board with being MSE. Makes life much easier for both of you.
Look forward to your updates as always.0 -
Thanks HL

I have managed to catch up with your blog & glad things are beginning looking up for you
Had some great new this afternoon - I've secured a part time job, 2 shifts a week, which should provide an extra £100-£150 a month. Which will all be going straight to paying the credit cards off :j
I have also just up'd my payment to one of the c/c's from the minimum to a fixed amount of £50pm, from my F/T salary.
I also have updated my signature, which was a scary moment :eek:Total Debt - Oct 11 (LBM): £26,415.24 / £21,686

I must admit it did have it's moments!!!
Now the focus is paying the wedding off . . .
BTD is right with the last comment - baby steps is the best way to achieve your goal, as your more likely to keep on the wagon, where as if you try all or nothing approach - your more likely to get fed up & fall back on old habits.
One thing I'm trying currently, which so far seems to work, is allowing yourself (for a better term) 'pocket money' each month, which you work out how much you can realistically afford. Which you can spend guilt free on what ever takes your fancy. (As long as when it's gone, it's gone & you don't dip into other funds - which I got caught doing last month
).
ps. I hope your enjoying the wine - I have to admit, that's one of my vices
