    Hi All

    Hope everyones well?

I'm still not great but not got any worse, so that's a positive thing :) Unfortanetly though one of my cats is decidedly under the weather today, not his usual mischievious self, so my OH called the vets 1st thing & he's got a vet appointment at 6pm today (I would have had him the minute the vets opened but apperently they didn't have any appointments), so fingers crossed he's ok :(

    Yesterdays Spend:

£4.85 Envolopes for posting suit to best man

    Todays spend:

£15.85 Memory Card for camera (honeymoon)
£9.60 Postage - best man's suit (wedding account)
£13.51 Supermarket - cough medicine, chocolate, beer & wine
    £0.86 Local Shop - 2 x onions & 1 x can of chopped tomatos for tonights dinner

Anyways must go & do some work, catch everyone later :)

Hope all goes well with the vets. The Hovel dog says "woof" which I think translates as "Vets "
    Glad you're not any worse.
It's a good day in Hovel land :D

Thanks Hovel lady - got all my fingers & toes crossed

It's OK hovel dog the V.E.T's aren't for you :)

Glad its a good day in hovel land - i must admit it is a beautiful day here, which does make things seem a bit better.

Just checked my items on ebay & 1 of them has someone watching it but otherwise no activity, although there are still 4 days remaining, so not lost all hope yet. Must get around to putting other items on there this weekend.

Want to dig out our last virgin m**** bill later, as I'm sure we could save some money there . . .

Right lunch break almost over, back to the grind stone - catch you all later . . . :)

    Morning all

Wet & misserable here today :(, although I'm at work all day so i guess I won't be missing any good weather either!

I'm pleased to say Jet (the cat) is feeling alot better, he seems his usual self - constantly meowing for food or jumping on you while your trying to do something. The V.E.T's (sorry Hovel dog!) thought it could be a reaction to the injection he had at the begining of the week, so they provided him with some antibotics to see if help & he's going back today for a check up.

OH just updated me saying he's now fine but V.E.T has given him a course of antibotics, grand sum of consaltations & antibotics £72

I wish i could say the same for myself, feeling pretty rough this morning :( Looking forward to getting home to my sofa already!

Begining to panic about the wedding & whats left to do now, as it's getting closer, also feel the need to sit down & budget for the remaining outlays, as fear pennies are going to be tight! :undecided

Anyways must go & do some work now, will try & pop back later - hope everyone as a great saturday :D

I and the Hovel dog are pleased Jay is OK. Give him a cuddle from me.
Rain here too. Did sit out in garden for 10 minutes then it chucked it down again. Still, the garden likes it.
    Enjoy your sofa :D

Morning all, hope everyone is having a pleasant Sunday morning?

I love Sundays as it's the 1st day of my weekend & the 1st lye in I get :) Therefore it's a good day today :j

Now feeling recuperated & ready for the day, finishing my 2nd cup of tea, contemplating the order of the day . . .

Things I need to do today:

    • List items onto Ebay
    • sit down with OH & got through remaining items for the wedding - budgeting these items as the same time
    • Arrange train tickets for my stag weekend in a couple of weeks
    • Spend some time with OH :)
Now I'm sure there was more that I needed to do today but it's escaped me - bound to come back to me later!

I have a confession that I have not been paying attention to my diet & exercise this past week - put this down to feeling under the weather. Must try harder next week!!!

Right must dash off to s****burys before it tips it down with rain again.

Will try & pop back in later - have a great day :)

NB: Just looked at my Current Acc. & it is in the overdraft, so have had to amend my signature to report this :(

  • Right just got off the phone to l*yods & have been accepted to take a loan repayment holiday on this month's loan payment.

Now I know this isn't assisting towards DFW but I also know I have quite a few large payments due within the next month, as final payments for the wedding are due, therefore I thought would be better to apply for the repayment holiday (which adds 2 months extra to the term of the loan - which I'm planing on re-financing before the end of term anyway) rather than build it up on cc's. Hope that logic makes sense to everyone else & not just me . . . ?!

  • Morning all - I hope everyone had a good monday?

Mine seemed to be the usual running around completing errands - although I didn't manage to complete as many as I would have liked!

I'm feeling a bit overwhelemed atm due to large work load at work currently & the planning of the wedding, so my motivation levels are suffering. However I did manage a bit of relaxing time with my OH on sunday, which was long overdue :)

Below is my spending record for the last couple of days - scary when you look at it all like this . . .

    Spending Diary 17th July:

    £7.56 Co-*p - Beer
    £8.48 Envolopes for CD's (Wedding - T*sco c/c)
£82.10 Fairy Lights for Wedding (Wedding Savings acc)

    Spending Diary 18th July:

    £5.60 Pub
    £6.00 Sa*nsburys - Beer
    £3.29 Birthday Card for Mum
    £64.** T*sco - Food Shop

Still haven't got around to listing further items onto Ebay!!! :(

Well must dash - hope everyone has a great tuesday :)

  • I've just logged into my current account & had one of the banks marketing messages pop up, offering a 0% balance transfer for 6 months - this could be useful as I have a c/c from a different lender which I'm still in the 0% on purchases promotional period but is near limit (this c/c has solely been taken out for the wedding & will be paid off & closed immediately afterwards).

Therefore if I transfered part of the balance from the 0% purchases card onto the 0% balance transfer card (3% fee applicable) then I would have more room on my 0% purchases card to pay for remaining items towards wedding?

Therefore saving money by not having to pay interest on these remaining items, which otherwise I would be paying for on a non promotional c/c, does this all make sense & can anyone see any reasons why this wouldn't work?

    Thanks in advance

    :)

Makes sense to me and I can't see why it wouldn't work.
I see lots of beer on the spending diary :rotfl:
And a trip to the pub.
My OH will be jealous :D
