And a trip to the pub.
I'm afraid it's my 'little' treat/vice (which ever way you want to look at it) at weekends :rotfl:
Normally I brew my own beer at home, therefore it's ALOT cheaper than buying from the shop, but I miss-judged the swap over gap between brews this time, meaning I had to buy some! As my latest brew won't be ready until 1st Aug now
The trip to the pub was a moment of self indulgence, as I had been trapsing around town on errands for the wedding, so I thought I deserved a swift visit to my favorite watering hole :rotfl:

I'm convienced I've missed something along the way here & also the APR's are the best I can do from memory.
I'm aware I've left out groceries, water, engergy etc. these are all budgetted for within our joint account, which I've accounted for in the 'rent' coloum. My commute is currently by train, although this is likely to change next month, at which point I shall need to re-do my SOA to inc. costs associated with running the car myself.
Any advice is more than welcome - so all please have a look over & see what I'm missing, could improve on etc.

Nothing wrong with treats or vices as long as they don't get you in debt :rotfl:TotallyInzane wrote: »I'm afraid it's my 'little' treat/vice (which ever way you want to look at it) at weekends :rotfl:

We are lucky to have a brew shop here which is excellant. There don't seem to be that many around anymore.0 -
It might be helpful to me and others if you list what comes under the "rent" column. They are the things where you might be able to cut down or get a better deal but without knowing what you're spending on gas or groceries or whatever it's difficult to say.0

Hey all - just a quick note as on my way off to bed . . .
Yesterday was a NSD :j
Todays Spending record follows:
£5.34 Birthday present for Mum
£114.02 Payment to T*sco C/C
£1.10 Coffee filters (joint C/Acc)
I will look into & provide further details from my SOA tomorrow - hopefully, as long as I don't get to caught up in wedding planning!!!
Hope everyone has had a good day & look forward to catching up on all your diaries tomorrow

Rent.................................... 566 As others have mentioned, lumping this all in together, doesn't give you clues as to where you can save. For example If your groceries were £400 and your other bills £166, then I would suggest that your grocery bill is too high. Conversely if your grocery bill is £100 and your utilities £466, then I would suggest that you would need to switch utility providers.

I hope that the above suggestions help. You can get an accurate rate for things by taking the average of credit card and current account statements for 3 months for each category.
good luck with paying down the debt, and hope you have a lovely wedding.
chevI want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

Hi Chevalier, thanks for popping by & looking at my SOA.
This SOA is solely mine, not inc. my OH, that is why there is no details in partners income etc. I wanted to produce a SOA solely for myself, so I knew where I stood before I tackle any further debts etc as a couple.
The 'rent' field is what I pay into our joint account monthly to service the household bills & grocceries etc. However this figure is actually £611 per month (just had monthly payments change
.
Perhaps I should start again, as I'm questioning all of my figures/workings now! Infact looking back at my SOA now I REALLY DO need to do it again!
I will breakdown the fields you highlighted below, hopefully on my lunch break, & also do a 'joint' SOA, which I'll post on here as well, hopefully this weekend.
Thanks in advance
- Got the blues today & not thinking 100% straight, think will leave this for the time being until can give it the attention it deserves (i.e. not while at work) & go through it all properly!
I've got feelings of serious frustration & helplessness this morning, doesn't help with having a poor nights sleep & other issues nibbling away at back of my mind. Oh hum.
Well off to the grind stone I must go . . .

The book is excellent according to my OH so do get a copy if you haven't already.
Well done on your NSD.
How are you today? x0 -
Hi HL
Thanks for book suggestion, I haven't read it, so will track it down & get my nose stuck in

Glad to hear the Hovel dog is feeling better, my two puddy cats say hi to the Hovel Dog
Got the house to myself this weekend, as it's my OH's Hen weekend, so got the tv remote & sofa to myself :j unfortunately got to work tomorrow, so can take full advantage, but watch this space as I try my best :rotfl:
