  • Hi All, hope everyone is having a good sunday? :)

Been a busy one so far - cleaned the house, cleared out the cats, popped down the shop & saved a frog from one of the cats!

Now sat down with a nice cupper, catching up on here before the grand prix starts on the TV. Still have a few 'jobs' that should really do before the GP starts, as nothing will happen after due to my DW will be home by then.

Right my daily spending record -

    DSR:

    Wine £4.99 (Joint Acc.)

right guess best get my backside off the sofa & start some of the filling that needs doing . . .

    Catch everyone later :)

Sorry I've not been on here for the last few days but it's been non stop!!!

On wed I had my 1st shift @ the restaurant, which went well & really enjoyed - although I was knackard by the end of it!

Been a hard week at the day job as well, as still in the process of building the new showroom, which is begining to look really good but feel really warn out.

Have also had a look at my budget, as more than ever determined to pay my debt of asap, the good news is I can pay more than I thought each month. Also used the money we received as wedding presents towards paying a lump of the wedding credit card off.

Now I'm finally sat on my sofa enjoying a cold beer, which I feel I deserve after the past week, I would say role on the weekend but got to work tomorrow, it's only a half day so not so bad.

Hope everyone has a great fri night :)

  • Morning all,

What a beautiful autum morning - sun is shining, wonderful golden colours of the trees preparing to shed they're summer clothes & the hint of jack frost around the corner.

I'm at work this morning, which is a shame on a day like today but then get the afternoon to enjoy the sun & then off to a friends for a curry night tonight.

My DW is off to the banks this morning to change her name (as hasn't had time since the wedding to do this yet) & then said tomorrow we will sit down & work out our joint & personal budgets. As she wants to get a loan to consolidate her c/c & o/d, then close her accounts & solely use our joint. I have suggested having seperate acc. for different items & also a 'spending' account - think this is growing on her :)

Right best go & do some work now - will catch up on peoples dairies later.

    Have a great Sat :)

    Hi HL,

I'm still lurking around, just seem to be very busy currently, apart from that all is going well thanks :)

Trying to be as much MSE as can, p/t job helping paying off the c/c's & wedding, as well as providing a little extra pocket money. (i see the cash tips i make as an added bonus & save most up but spend a little)

I hope you are well & all's going good for you?

Will try & pop in more often :)

    take care

    Hello :D

Glad you're still lurking - I seem to do plenty of that too
Really glad things are going well for you
    It's all good here thankyou.

Look forward to hearing how things go.
  • Afternoon All :)

I hope everyone is well on this gloriously sunny afternoon?

Just quickly popped on here during my lunch break to update my signature - which I'm really pleased to say is showing my hard work is slowly paying off (excuse the punn!)

The large total figure is still a scary number but the fact I can see it's going down over the last couple of months is a real moral booster

Must dash as lunch break almost over, so must get back to work, take care 1 & all.

Will pop back in soon :)

  • Hi All - how is everyone?

    I can't believe it's only a week till christmas!!!
The good news, I've only 1 present left to buy, which I know what it is, just haven't got around to getting it yet. Still have acouple of present to post - leaving it till last minute again!!!

Just been working out that if I continue to pay my CC's off with the same amount I have been, they will be clear by Oct '12, which seems along way away but for so long now, this has seemed a unreachable goal, so that now it can be achieved in under a year feels great :)

Just the loan to tackle next . . .

Have decided this week that I'm going on a booze detox in Jan, I know there's nothing new in that statement but feel I with all the festive celebrations currently I need to take time out & detox - not least as it will save money ;)

Have had a good catch up on peoples dairies this morning - which has re-motivated my MSE.

Going out for a meal & drinks with friends tonight - I've got £20 left in my 'pocket money' fund for this month, which will hopefully pay for the meal & then will have to use some of my tips jar for the drinks after, however only going to take cash with me so I can't be tempted after a few drinks :rotfl:

Counted how much I had in my tips jar the other day & have enough to cover the car tax that due end of Jan (well 6 months anyway), so that takes care of that expense without worry - next thing is the car needs to go in for a service as it doesn't like these cold mornings :(

Visited my bank last mon, as DW & I had a meeting with them acouple months ago & at time switch contents insurance to them. Which our bank said they would take care of canx previous insurance etc.
Well noticed this month, that previous insurance had not been canx & we'd been paying for BOTH!!!
Went in on mon & told them this, couldn't see the guy that orignal meeting was with but got told that would canx DD from previous & be refunded the 2 months of charges that had been taken on Wed. It's now Sat & no refund!!!!
I'm sure you all can guess who will be getting a visit on mon again . . .

    right rant over :)

Anyways must dash, have a great weekend all

    Hello :hello:

    A week to Christmas
Great news that you know when the cc will be paid off.
Hope the bank refund the money very soon.

    Enjoy your evening out
