  • Well, what a weekend & 1st aniversary!

The B&B we stayed in was lovely, we had a separate self contained apartment in the gardens. Which was perfect for some R&R.

Our friends wedding was beautiful & thoroughly enjoyable, what I can (well both of us) can remember! We both had a 'little' too much to drink but was a great party! :)

On the Sunday we had coffee with my best man & then visited my mum, who haven't seen for a while, which was nice.

Now back to realit, the extent of how much I spent over the weekend has struck home & buyers remorse has set in.

On a positive I had my 1st shift at my new part time job this evening which I really enjoyed & seem to be a good bunch of people there - now just need the money to start rolling in from it! Lol

    Today's spend:

£45.00 petrol (blooming price has gone up again!)

Right time to head off to bed now to do it all again tomorrow

Really glad you had a good time :D:D

Glad the new job is going well - hope you are paid soon

Petrol seems to go up in price every hour
  • Hi dairy,

Not enjoying the chilly weather that seems to have settled in the last couple of days.

Very tired - think my week is catching up on me, meaning motivation levels very low.

Not helped by just looking at my accounts & realising in my personal account I don't have enough left to last me till pay day  So the pay from my 2nd job had best start next week without issues or I'm gonna be snokered! Also only have approx £44 left in joint account for food etc until day after my pay day when funds go in, some serious meal planning required.

Meant to be going out tonight for a leaving party, which not really looking forward to & even less so now. I've got £15 in my wallet (which wasn't inc. in the figs above) so that's my budget for tonight!

On a positive Thurs & Fri were NSD

  • Well managed to stay within my budget last night - in fact I didn't spend any of my money, we put some food on our joint (which shouldn't have really) which with acouple drinks was jst under £12.
My DW paid for the rest of the drinks & taxi home.

Today has been a NSD :)

Feeling agitated today - think combination of tiredness & needing a bit of relaxation time/own space.

Spent £5.20 on train ticket 2 second job so far today, in theory that should be all I spend today.

Just received my weekly account mini statements by txt & discovered our joint life insurance is a lot more than budgeted for this month. I think this is due amending the policy recently & having a joint payment taken from our joint acc inst of me & My DW paying seperately. Back to the drawing board again me thinks!

On a positive it's a glorious sunny day here today, making my cycle to the station more enjoyable.

Had a look at the remaining term on my loan last night & it was showing 59 months remaining. Now I guess I was expecting a long time but that would make my debt free date Aug 2017, which seems an awful long time away :(

    Hi diary,

Had a pretty boring day at work today now about to start a shift at the restaurant, although could quite easily go home & fall asleep!

Been thinking while at work today that I seem to have completely lost any form of optisium recently & just generally been feeling fed up. When I was a teenager I spent a couple of years on antidepressants & always worried since that I seem to quite easily slip back towards negative thinking - feel must monitor. All though always difficult to tell when it's yourself!

Been a NSD so far & determined to keep it that way! Completed NSD :)

My DW put some petrol in the car yesterday to make up for Wat she used & my train ticket, which was very thoughtful :)

Right must go 2 work - hopefully pop in later

  • Spending Diary update:

    6/9/12:
    £10.75 groceries (Cash)
    £45.00 Petrol (Personal)

    7/9/12:
£6.39 Groceries Inc. Bottle of Wine (cash)

Good news I got my 1st pay chq from my new part time job :j (thank goodness, as was going to need to use my C/C soon!).

Been really grumpy last few days, think from tiredness but my boss at my main job was really annoying my again yesterday, that & having several customer shouting the odds at me - yesterday was not a good day.

Today had an electrician come round this morning to fix a extractor fan in our bathroom but couldn't in the end due to only being able to fix it on the window, as not wall space?!?!

Spent the rest of the morning weeding our front garden in the sun :)

My DW is currently doing a practice for a triathlon at the end of the month, which in this heat seems like madness but proud of her for doing it

Right now need to check my accounts . . . deep breath in!

  • Well as I'm sat at my desk at work waiting for the breakdown service to show, to hopefully fix my car, in order for me to get home & start enjoying my weekend (& actully see my DW who I haven't seen properly since monday night!). I thought I would update my diary.

Mt MSE seems to have slipped this month - all the extra money I've been earning at my p/t job has been going towards petrol & daily bills instead of paying things off  which finding disheartening, as been working extra hours on top in the p/t job to try & pay more off.

It's all those weddings we've been to over the summer, has slowed my MSE down :( Don't get me wrong, I've had a wonderful time at them & been lovely seeing all my friends again, as haven't seen some of them for a long time. :)

Lets just hope what ever is wrong with the car isn't to expensive, although it probably will be knowing my luck! As I know there are a few jobs I need to complete on it but I just haven't had the time/money to do them so far this summer & I think it's now trying to tell me I should have paid it more attention!

On a positive note, I've only got 2, well hopefully 1, payment left to clear one of my C/C's. I've had a DD set up paying a fixed amount off & there is just over a payments worth left on the card. Therefore I'm going to put some of the monies from my p/t job into it nxt month to pay the additional £30ish off, meaning it's then cleared!!! :j

Once that's cleared will transfer the monies that were being paid onto that DD on my other C/C to help pay that one. As the DD is coming from our joint account though, I'm only going to keep it going until the porportion of debt on that CC from the wedding is paid (as otherwise think its unfair my DW has to pay towards my debt as well). Once that's been cleared, which will be early next year, need to talk to DW to see if we keep paying the additional money into the joint account each month but put it aside in a savings account for something we both want ie. holiday etc. (that's to be decided later though).

  • Well after persuading the recovery guy to try & start my car again, after he had said it needed towing as couldn't fix roadside, which would have cost £70+, I finally got home abot 7:30pm when finished work at 3pm! So managed to save a few £'s there, now just need to source the parts, as should be able to fix the problem my self, which should keep the costs down :)

Been for a 32 mile bike ride today with my DW, which was nice - apart from the last 10 miles as my legs were killing me & have ached ever since!
