The SoA (Statement of affairs) is on one of the stickies at the top of the list of diaries. Sorry, don't know how to post the link.TotallyInzane wrote: »Forgive me of my naivety but what is the SOA tool? I've noticed other people mention it but can't work out what it is!
Thanks in advance
It's everything to do with your money - money in & out, debts, assets and so on.
If you post it here people will be able to advice where you might cut your spending or get a better deal for something or whatever.
Hope you find the sticky!0 -

Sounds lovely my OH wants a New Foundland & I would like a golden Lab, however this is forward planning for a few years down the line yet! lol

I'll have a look for that in a moment, sounds like a useful tool & I'm always open to as much advice as people are willing to give, so will post here once complete.
I had a good conversation with my OH last night, about realistically budgeting & where we think it would be possible to save. I'm please I have her on side & that we can openily chat about it, as couldn't ever keep anything from her.
(I also used a bit of a LBM with her & explained that the items she aspires to wouldn't be attainable unless we sort things out now - seemed to work
)
Will look into the SOA tonight hopefully & have a proper catch up with others diaries at the same time

I wanted a Great Dane and my OH a Irish wolfhound and we got the Hovel dog :rotfl:
Glad your OH and you are together on this. It makes all the difference and as my OH always says "Stronger togther".
If you catch up with my diary you'll find the Hovel dog hijacked it earlier. Very impressive - he makes less typos than me

Just a quick note I'm afraid, spending the evening celebrating with my OH as she's successfully passed her probation period at work :j
Thanks to hovel lady & clippy_girl for the link to the SOA, I will look at this but likely to be tomorrow now.
Received the suit for my best man today, really pleased with it
Unfortunately due to the celebrations I haven't been AF tonight, but I think a good reason.
Spending diary:
£72.00 Weekly Train Ticket for commute to work
£2.00 Euromillions ticket - well got to be in it to win it! :rotfl:
anyways I hope everyone else has had a good day?
Take care

Thought I would post a quick note in my lunch break
Not feeling any better today, in fact if anything probably feeling worse
Not going to manage a NSD today, as about to pop out to get packaging to post my Best Man his suit for the wedding, as he needs to get it adjusted to fit him correctly (I've already moaned at him for being an awkward size
). Then tonight, among many other things need to do a few further things for the big day - luckly though this will all be coming from the wedding savings account, which makes it not feel quite so bad!
I've also got acouple of items I need to list on good old ebay, although not sure if manage that tonight as well, as really want to try & get an early night - as spent half of last night awake in violent coughing fits!
Right must scoff my salad & get out to the shop to get this packaging . . .
