    Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.

    Hi,

    I have some blackcurrant jam that OH and I are not overly keen on, plus I have just made 8 jars of delicious blakberry and apple jam that is much nicer. I want to use up the blackcurrant jam though, I was thinking maybe as a filling for a victoria sponge type cake - anyone got any ideas??

    Thanks! :)

    Hi niksyg,

    I have used blackcurrant jam mixed with red wine and reduced to make a lovely sauce for duck.

    This thread has more ideas that may help:

    using left over jam

    I'll add your thread to that one later to keep the suggestions together.
