These are gorgeous and I have tried lots of different jams with this recipe. Its usually saved for using up jam that has set just a little too firm

rubarb crumble icecream,
either make icecream from scratch or buy some. then for the rubarb crumble bit, make some crumble mix (twice flour to butter and sugar, baked off in oven so cooked), and mix the cooked cooled crumble, and the jam, through the icecream, or spoon it over to serve... yum.nov grocery challenge, £.227.69/300, 9/25 nsd: , 7 Cmo, 10 egm.

hi i have a stock of last years jam that i would like to use up in puddings and cakes etc and wondered if any one had any ideas they are not going to keep fresh long i think i get carried away have made over 100 jars of jam this year plus jelly, butter ,cheese, chutneys and pie fillings as we have had a bumper crop of fruit and got cheap sugar will give lots away to family friends and neighbours at christmas but do not want to give last years away as not so fresh any ideas please

You could try melting the jam and use as a sauce over ice cream/yoghourt/puds? Use as a filling for sandwich cakes?One life - your life - live it!0

I would happily use it as gifts as preserves rarely deteriorate, but often improve with time. This thread has lots of good ideas that may help:
