using left over jam

I bought a jar of this to do the marzipan & icing for the Christmas cake (I'll use marmalade next year!) and I've got 2/3 of jar left over. I won't get used for cake making before next Christmas and I'd like to use it up - any ideas?

As it's a preserve it will last for a long time - honest;) That's what all the sugar is for. But you could just bung it in a tub and freeze it for next year's cake.0

Heat the jam through in a saucepan and pour over ice cream!Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

Put it at the bottom of a sponge pud (so it becomes the top when you tip it out) or have it with croissants (yummy).0

you could place it a pan with some water bring to boil and simmer till jam is
disolved if still to thick add some more water add some chopped crystalized ginger serve with roast pork0 -
If you bung it in the 'fridge it should be ok for next year, sugar is a preservative, that's why jam etc are called preserves! Seriously tho', no need to waste it, should be fine for your next Christmas cake creation!'The only thing that helps me keep my slender grip on reality is the friendship I have with my collection of singing potatoes'
