I won't have the cash until start of next week, just hoping theres still stock somewhere. Has anyone who has bought one recently found purple snakes.

JL do price match internet companies that have a shop.

look at the JL pricematch thread on the avforums.com to see which current internet retailers they are matching.

and by the way - i paid 1495 quid for this TV in June and there are no purple snakes at all.

its the best tv i have ever owned - awesome picture - this my friends IS the bargain of the year - old and new!!

Empire Direct do have a shop in Bradford - and I recently (last week) got JL in Bristol to PM a Sony KDL-46W2000 - Empire Price was 2069 - JL Price was around 2600 - JL after a bit of pressure did the PM, and st now comes with a 5 yr warranty instead of 1 yr!

Now looking for a nice stand to go with it!

Can you get 0% interest free with any of the on-line purchases ? Was thinking of purchasing this via Curry's but they only seem to offer high interest payments. Is 0% in store only ?

Empire Direct also have a shop at Bolton if this helps anyone with price matching

Hi,

they DO NOT have to have a store near to the JL that you are buying from, as the PM promise is nationwide.

ED have numerous stores (have a look here:
http://www.empiredirect.co.uk/content/edxtra/features/stores/ and see)

Some JL stores are more difficult to PM than others, but it costs nothing to try (can e-mail them) and for hte 5yr G'tee, it is well worth it .....

Despite the purple snakes this is a great set. Without the snakes this would be definitely the best set around for the money. I am really hoping that Panasonic will sort the snakes out for customers such as myself who are not into keeping unwanted pets.

I have just read on a forum that there is a fix but it is hardware.
