This is the repsonse I got from Groupon on trying to go through them (who pride themselves on customer service!!) FOB OFF or what!

    Hi Gail,
Thank you for your email. I am sorry that you have had problems with O Spa and are yet to receive your order. Unfortunately, we are unable to access their systems but you can call O Spa directly on 0845 6013688 and they will be able to advise further on the status of your order.
I am sorry for any inconvenience caused.

  • I bought this deal too, have emailed them today but just got an automated reply so have contacted groupon and asked them to contact the company for some answers. They must have other contact information for them and surely they don't want 5000 refunds on their hands!!!
Also has anyone contacted Trading Standards about this company? And if so what happened?
  • Hi everyone

I'm sure you will all agree its quite bad that after emailing 2 different companies I have to find the answer to my queries on a forum. Thank you all for sharing your information. I have emailed both Group on and O spa to find out what has happened to my order and after a week all i have had is an automated reply. I too will wait till after the 15th August when the supposed new batch is to arrive and if no joy i will request a full refund! I hope the straighteners are worth it after all this hassle!
I agree, they really shouldn't put the offers on if they cant meet the demand. I'm actually contemplating giving up on Group on altogether - as the saying goes "if it sounds to good to be true, it usually is!!"
If I hear anything more I will post another thread

Just had another email from O Spa, basically repeating what I'd previously been told - new stock due on on 15th August, bear with us, Straighteners will be here soon.

Not overly impressed with the timescales, but if they'll be here, then I'll write that off to a very popular deal, seems they are getting a lot of grief from all angles.

  • I also ordered the straightners on the 28th June - it would appear stupidly ordered the mini straightners as well so at the moment I am am down £15 for voucher and 23.95 for 2nd set and 2 lots of postage I emailed them end of July to be told to read print that they were allowed 28 days and then received automated email to say thay it was so popular and they had sent out lots of sets and the backlog would be sent out on week beginning 15th Aug - this is my 1st Groupon purchase and probably the last - who is liable for the loss not only for the voucher but for the order through that voucher - have I got any chance of getting either money or voucher back??!! - can anyone tell me Groupon position for offers that cant be fullfilled??

    Helen
ps - does anyone know of ANYONE that has reveived the straightners?
  • in the same boat both my daughter an i purchased the straightners so that is another £30 + postage I worked out that even if 1/2 the 5000 orders are not sent the company has got £37500 for nothing and this does not include all the postage surely something can be done
  • I have also still not reveived anything other than an email saying that my straighteners should be sent out in the next wave on 15th Aug, whether I get them or not is another matter. Also heard nothing back from OSpa about my £15 P&P charge.

It is such a shame these things happen as I have often used Groupon and (touch wood) nothing has ever gone wrong apart from this.

I always think it is worth phoning ahead to whatever restaurant/spa/company is offering the deal and check to see if it is valid, although I suppose in this case they would have said yes.

Anyone had any luck yet?? Waiting to hear at least one of us have got them!!!
  • I bought mine on the 5th July and redeemed my voucher on the 11th! stupidly I decided to buy the second pair too for someone else!
I have emailed O spa twice and got automated responses of going on their website and I'll find my answer there! Ringing them makes no difference as no one answers and Groupon hasn't replied either and when I rang they had me on hold for ages!

What email address did you email on for them to tell you its going to be delivered on or after the 15th august?

I just received one on the email I used to place my order - however it did end up in my SPAM box, so maybe you'll find something there.

They've got a week, plus 2 days (just to let them get the stock moving) and them I'm going to create merry hell (may just be p***ing in the wind with everyone else making noise, but hey, it'll make me feel better!)

It's not just straighteners. I bought a Groupon voucher for O Spa face masks. Ordered on 4th July - still waiting!
