I've had problems with purchases from Groupon in the past, and always made contact and resolved my issues via their facebook page - might be worth a shot for those of you waiting to hear back? Comment on their page.

I'm not one to give up, but I think I might have to - it's too much trouble so I think I'll just call Groupon. Crappy O Spa - you got my hopes up!!

so sad to hear about this regarding the offers in Groupon. i so wanted to purchase some vouchers myself and thought to have even a little discount.

good suggestion about the facebook page and to contact them directly. hope that you'll have this fix and get your money back. this is awful since money this days is hard to earn.:mad:

Myself & friends also bought the discount codes for the OSpa London hair straighteners & 28 days up tomorrow....on checking MSE forum here is an interesting but very unsettling read

Further posts advising Groupon are aware of problems with O Spa. phone Groupon customer services 020 3510 0410 and ask for refund. We certainly will be. Unsure if we ll get refunded postage costs paid through OSpa London though but heres hoping

I order some straightners when they came out via Groupon in June. Ordered them on the 28th (when my voucher activated) - and along with 5,000 other people sat back to wait for them.

I did think that they may take a while - due to volume, but after 2 weeks, started doing some checking online. Seems noone has a good word to say about O Spa - either the spas or the products.

I have received an email at the start of this week advising that due to overwhelming numbers, that they are awaiting another batch on 15th August, and please bear with them, but this is getting a tad ridiculous.

I was given the option to buy a set of narrow straightners at the same time as the wide ones - for just P&P of £7.50 - so maybe that's where the £15 has come in to someone elses comments.:(

Ive given up with groupon, the one thing I ordered was a dental care set - it was rubbish, no way would they have charged the "normal price" for the tat.

At the end of June I took up the Groupon offer for O Spa Hair Straightners retailed at £99.95 for £15.00 with £7.50 postage and packaging, I really wish I had read the reviews as regarding this company prior to ordering them as I'm sure I would have made the sensible option and had second thoughts. However the offer seemed fantastic and way too good to pass up, but as usual these offers are nearly always too good to be true. I gave the company a chance and on the 14th July I had still not heard anything I emailed them, I shortly got a response by an automated email that i had to wait 28 days after redemption of the Groupon voucher, i submitted my voucher as soon as i was able to so my delivery should have been on the 26/7/2011. Instead I received another automated email saying that they had an unprecidented amount of orders and the first batch has been sent out and an email would advise you of this, I received no such email instead i was advised that the next batch of hair straightners are due on the 15th August and i will be advised via email if they are sent out. I would like to know has anybody actually received these straightners as it seems that they are sending out these offers and not able to meet the demands. My advise to anyone if you do see this offer then beware and seriously think twice before leaping in like I did. I'm not holding my breath in receiving my order anytime soon.

Janie Q - I'm in the same boat as you (and seemingly 5000 other people) I saw this, and having been looking for a set of straightners 1/2 heartedly for a while thought these would be ace.

I also ordered on 28th June - expecting delivery to be speedier than the 28 days (who ever belives them when they say things will take that long) and started seeing poor reivew for O Spa around the 21 day mark.

I have emailed groupon, but not had a response as yet - maybe they're fighting through 5,000 other disgruntled customers. The worst thing is, that this deal closed with a sell out of just over 5,000 sets, but I have seen them advertised again in other 'deal' pages since then.

Methinks my rat is smelling fishy!! As I wasn't in dire need of them, I'll hang on til the 15th when the next batch is due, but if I haven't had straighteners by then - or confirmation of a date, then I will be demanding my money back from Groupon - postage and all.

Anyone else in the same boat???? :mad::mad::mad:

Watch out - they've got foot spa's on one of the deal sites today.

I also purchase these hair straigners for my girlfriends as a little extra present for her birthday. I paid £15 then plus £7.50 P&P I dont this on the 28th June 2011. After a few weeks of checking there website my ordered still had not been despatched. Her birthday has well passed now. I have just checked again this morning and it says my item has not yet been despatched. When I contacted Groupon they said to allow 28 days, It has been well over 28 days now and the items still have not yet been despatched.

I have emails groupon back but still awaiting a replay. I have emailed every O spa london salon and had no reply, I have been trying to get in touch with there head office but it is just an automated message.

Not really bothered about the money or the straigners just the fact nothing is being done about this. I use groupon a couple of times a week and buy all kinds on there but thisis the first problem I have had. Even groupon dont seem to be doing anything over this
