Ive just recieved that email from groupon and ospa aswell.
In light of this new update and of the fact people are recieving them but theyre of a poor quality im wondering....
* Are the straightners worth £7.50?
* Can anyone spot anything that would be worth the alternative £100 e-voucher?
* Or would now be the time to try and grab the £7.50 and run as fast as possible?

I'm wondering the same thing! I think maybe getting the refund and leaving it at that is best. I also bought the narrow straighteners too so want a refund for those also. What's everyone else doing??0 -
I've got both £15 and £7.50 refunded prior to these emails being sent - so effetively I won't get the opportunity to see if they are worth the wait.
From the few people who have their straightners, seems they may not be worth the £7.50, and that it might be best to take your money and run. (But hey, that's just me, as per paragraph 1, i'm not going to get to make an informed descision!)Always on the hunt for a bargain.
Always grateful for any hints, tips or guidance as to where the best deals are:smileyhea0 -
I eventually decided to email ospa for the refund last night, Im now waiting on a reply (I wont cross my fingers too tight just yet though what with all these liquidation and bankrupcy rumours, this is what made my final desision anyways I didnt want to still risk not recieving them or having a worthless £100 e-voucher)2008 Competition Wins: £200 Cash (Boffer's Youtube Bag O' Crap Video Competition 2)

Radio 4 now - groupon and OspaMF date: Dec [STRIKE]2028[/STRIKE] 2019. Overpayments in 2007=£900, 2008=£1200 2009=234000

I have also emailed ospa for a full postage refund. Sounds like the straighteners are a load of rubbish anyway.
Radio 4's You and Yours just did a report on Groupon and Ospa, they specifically mentioned this deal - sounds like Ospa are a very dubious company to be avoided at all costs.MF date: Dec [STRIKE]2028[/STRIKE] 2019. Overpayments in 2007=£900, 2008=£1200 2009=234000 -
Has anyone actually received the postage refund yet? I've had my £15 from Groupon refunded... but strangely no sign of the postage...MF date: Dec [STRIKE]2028[/STRIKE] 2019. Overpayments in 2007=£900, 2008=£1200 2009=234000

I have yet to receive my refund from Groupon or O Spa for the 2 pairs of hair straighteners I ordered. I have been emailing Groupon for ages now, at least about 6 times and each time they say they will refund the money. My last response I received from them was 2 days ago advising they were refunding my £15.00 within 5 working days. But this has came after them emailing everyone on the 28th of sept to advise we were all getting our refunds within 5 days! Which for me never appeared, so had to contact them again, fingers crossed I finally get it!
I responded to O Spa's email as above asking for the full refund of the P&P and the extra I paid for the narrow straighteners. In total £23.95. I have still not received the funds which were due on to be refunded within 12 days from the 28th of Sept... I have also send another few emails and have not had a single response! This is just unbelievable, nearly 5 months since I paid the full £38.95 and not got any further! O Spa sold over 5000 pairs of straighteners and have taken nearly 5 months and if each of us paid £23.95, that's a wee bit of interest they have made off us. Its criminal! This is my first post here but had book marked the thread ages ago to keep an eye on it.
For the person who asked if the straighteners were any good I have read on another Forum that they are rubbish, one person actually sent them back for a refund after they received them. Certainly not like GHD's. Which hopefully I will get for Christmas!0
