Thanks Chrismojam......appreciate the hugs.......you're right, I guess we dont always realise how many are going through difficult times.
You take care too. Thanks again.0 -
you are doing so well stormy, glad talking to us helps, i am usually on the os board and we have a daily thread there where we all talk about money saving in the home but we support one another too, you would be welcome there too, i know you are going to make it, it will be tough to begin, just when i thought i couldnt bear to go on feeling as i was things gradually got better, maybe just for one hour a day then for longer, dont let anyone tell you what you should feel or do, everyone grieves differently, but above all be kind to yourself and remember to eat, your immunity will be down so try small nourishing meals xx0

you are so right chris, I also went through the 'I could have saved my dad' staged but realistically now know that there was no way but because my mum was grieving so was not reassured or told otherwise and that is a huge burden for a 15yr old to have on their shoulders...
Keep talking xxxxx0 -
can second Twinks suggestion about the daily thread on the money old style board. come and join us!! its a daily support thread, loosely based around running a home and a family. there are a number of posters dealing with lots of different issues, but its a positive friendly place.
A number of the folks have already posted on your thread so you will recognise a few faces when you venture over
I'd imagine you will be feeling exhausted today after the strain of yesterday. take care.x x x0 -
(((Stormybay))) Glad this thread is helping - do keep coming back - this is such a lovely supportive community to be part of. As someone else has said just take it all one step at a time. Love to you and your children.0

I was thinking of you yesterday.
I think joining the Old Style daily thread and community would be a great thing for you right now too. Like DFW it's an incredibly supportive place to be and when you are ready you will find it just the place to start getting the advice you need about day to day things.
If you don't want to jump right in perhaps you'd like one of us to introduce you?0 -
I'm so pleased that everything went as well as it could for you yesterday Stormy, we were all thinking of you. What you said about John was lovely, im sure he would be so proud of you and how you're coping.
Annie, havent seen you post recently, I hope you're ok and that the funeral went as well as it could - let us know because we do care.Experience is the toughest teacher because she gives the test first then the lesson

Stormybay, I hope you are doing as well as you can in the circumstances today. I lost my mum a few weeks ago and I remember the day after the funeral as being a very difficult one. The day of the funeral itself is mentally and physically draining, leaving just a limbo the following day.
I have been thinking of you a lot, the same as everyone else on this board. All I can send you is my thoughts and hope you and your children are coping ok today. xxxxx0
