    This is good news.
Prices will hit the 16% rise predicted by the Express.

HPC are mortified. Not only is their dream over. They are getting totally hammered into the ground.

Are these real terms or nominal?

What is wage growth? What is the savings ratio? Change in external balance? - I.E. where is this extra spending money coming from?

The plural of annecdote isn't data.

The data show that car production is up 4.7% on the year (link - tab 4.1d) and retail sales are up 2.8% on the year (link - tab 5.1). Services turnover increaed by 6.1% in the year to April 2011 (link).

Just like your dream, it's over. Unless you can find >£750K and the new owner decides they want to sell it to you.

UK house prices "enjoy" rise and offer "glimmer of hope", say Telegraph.

This is a bit like a broker rec when talking financial markets. Are you looking to sell? ;)

I don't go looking for good or bad news.

Never said you did, but bad news tends to find it way on here quicker than good news.

I don't think anyone on here would disagree on that, the service sector growth from yesterday kind of proves my point.

OK, I'll tell anyone who tells me that their business is quiet, or they are losing their job that things are looking up.

That happens in a boom, you cant use individual examples as a rule for all.

That is what these surveys are for.

It is a matter of interpretation - basically anyone can see bullish or bearish information in these in order to justify one's own inclination. I am only interested in making money through investments rather than be proven "right" so will change my view easily and without hesitation but always try to look at the information completely objectively.
