OP - I've just showed this thread to my OH.

What does he do when at Mommy's. My betting he's off out with mates and most probably dipping his wick somewhere else.

It seems he still wants to hold onto his single life. But he's living with you and can't have his cake and eat it :(

As for wanting to see his Dad at the weekend, what a complete load of betty swollocks that is, hasn't he heard of picking up the phone.

I would put my foot down about mil coming round everyday. It's your house, so it's your rules!

I've only read the first page so apologies if someone has already said it - but have you tried having something really embarrasing happen so that she is too embarrased to come round?

eg a quickie on the sofa around the time she's due to pop in?

OP, I hope you get it sorted, and I love some of the suggestions!

Im married with 2 sons, my husband tends to work most weekends saturday until 10pm and sunday 10am-5 so I stay at my dads quite a few weekends and my husband picks me up sunday after work, because for me it makes sense to stay with my dad so he can see his grandsons rather than me sat at home and husband at work, my mum and dad split up quite a few years ago and his health hasn't been great in recent years so I like to keep him company but your other halfs mum has a husband and from what I can tell from your post isn't ill? so I see no reason for him to stay every weekend? I have seen mums and sons who are strangely close and its a bit freaky, hes probably scared of upsetting his mum but sometimes you have to put your foot down!

i was going to suggest the dog going to MIL instead of here coming to yours then OH can pick the dog up and see his mother at the same time and then be home for when you get in from work, would that work?

if we drop him off at hers it is the wrong direction from work and its about 30 mins drive from us, it would be too far out of the way, also she already has two dogs

I hadn't thought but now you've said it, that probably is why he has his weekends at mummys, he gets to go out every weekend then with no moaning!
