they obviously do. but if someone works in a job that means their pet lives in a detrimental environment and situation then they should be ashamed of themselves. or does the dogs quality of life not matter as long as you can have one?So working people don't have dogs??Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. It is an animal .. it can be let alone a few hours it won't explode! Some people leave dogs for 12 hours + a day.. Having had dogs for years inthe family.. working dogs, pet dogs, pampered dogs.. a few hours doesn't kill them.. and saddos who think it does and live their lives around 'ooh I can't leave little fuffy poo machine for a whole hour' really need to get a grip.
I bet you are one of those that can't leave it down stairs at night so take it and its worms and fleas and ticks to bed with you!
And I have reported your abuse..
a few hours is not 12 hours. the people who leave a dog for 12 hours should be ashamed of themselves. you need to get a grip. i wont suggest where. and if you have a dog that has worms and fleas then you should be doubly ashamed. there is no abuse. just because you dont like having the truth pointed out to you dont go crying to teacher.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Sorry, I just had to quote this part again as it's humoured me, 'their own pleasure' going to work.
I'm guessing you have a dog? How do you do anything in your life? Really, I'm curious. How do you go shopping? Do you never socialise in any way? Do you never go to the cinema? Buy clothes? Go on holiday?
shopping rarely takes more than a few hours, ditto the cinema and ditto socialising. holidays are mostly taken in the uk.
and no i dont have a dog at the moment because one wouldnt fit in with my lifestyle. its called being responsible. obviously something you know nothing about.:)Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. This is not a thread about dogs & being responsible or irresponsible owners for that matter - go to the pets board or discussion time instead as it is just boring me now with all this talk about how to look after dogs!

Yoghurt_Pot - I hope you get it sorted, as I would have gone crazy by now. I couldn't stand to have my own mother here everyday, never mind my MIL! I take it your MIL doesn't work? My MIL never visits anyway and she won't see the kids unless we take them round to her house, hence she hasn't seen them since last year, but that's another story.
Luckily my MIL still works full time, so wouldn't be able to come round all the time anyway.
OP - you don't say what you do when OH is at his Mom's or how much time over the weekend he stays there. If it doesn't stop, perhaps you could get yourself some sexy toys and dirty movies to watch and don't make a secret of it. Or like a previous poster said, get yourself a weekend man to keep you company as your OH is being downright selfish.Striving to clear the mortgage before it finishes in Dec 2028 - amount currently owed - £19,575.020 -

Bit like a day's work
Sorry, I didn't realise only those who are retired or not working/benefit claimants should have pets.If you're going to stalk me, while you're at it can you cut the grass, feed the dog & make sure I've got bread & milk in

I agree, I've made my point.
I can't understand how OP's OH wants to spend so much time with his mother! If you're going to stalk me, while you're at it can you cut the grass, feed the dog & make sure I've got bread & milk in

Bit like a day's work

What job takes a couple of hours? I leave my dog to go shopping, have my hair cut etc but that is probably for a maximum of 3 or 4 hours. If I go to the cinema, theatre etc I get a dog sitter.
I work one day a week for 5 hours and have a dog walker. I am a responsible owner who cares about the welfare of my dog. Holidays he comes with us or goes to a dog sitter - simples! The world is over 4 billion years old and yet you somehow managed to exist at the same time as David Bowie0 -
Hi OP
No advice from me I'm afraid, but lots of sympathy! I have a MIL and FIL (they're both as bad as each other) who would be like your MIL, given the chance. We used to live 250miles away from them, and they came to visit for a weekend and MIL said casually ''well, if you lived closer we'd come round every day''. We now live in Australia. I must admit, I like it much better!
Good luck with the weekends!
