Anyway back to the original reason for this thread...
He leaves me on the Friday night and comes back on the sunday night, i go out with friends etc and sometimes if there is overtime i work the weekends, he has said the weekends will stop we have planned to go out this Friday so he wont be staying that night.

I can't believe you've put up with this for a year.

I hope he sticks to his agreement. Enjoy your night out!

Buy two outfits - one for Friday night and the other for Saturday. His choice whether he stays home Sat night or you go with him to Mothers and have naughty sex there instead!!!

If they start back up again a simple sentence should suffice:

"Sweetheart, there will be sex happening here at 9pm on Saturday whether you are here or not...your choice" ;););)

Why not let MIL have the dog for keeps? If she is lonely it will be company for her. It then means she doesn't need to come to your house every day to walk the dog. Which would you rather have- a dog or a partner?

    Hello

Let me say from the piont of view of a MIL. It's difficult being a good MIL and Grannie, but the important thing we (DH and me ) remember is that son and wife and grandchild are a seperate unit. They live about 20 mins away by car. Yes I could see them everyday but we all have seperate lives. We ring before going to see them and they ring to invite us,or they just call round. My DIL's parents live 2/3 hours away so we would not dream of going round while they are ther unless invited. We have a rule that if they think I am infringing in any way my son just says to my husband. Let me say this about wanting to buy things for grandchild. I do not take offense at this. But I would say you all need to discuss this before it gats out of hand. You should be the most important person in his life and his mother should accapt this
    Hope things improve.
