Hi there, did you get a figure they would give you,or was it just the goodwill letter?.
If it was just the goodwill letter, then i would like to know why people are not being paid out from last year but they are paying people out from this year!!!.
This is not to be taken personally by anyone who has won with Barclays,as it is not your fault:D
I agree Amersall, people from jan are being paid out, but myself and Yetta seem to be just waiting.0 -

I explained that they had logged two cases on the same day in January, paid out on one (into my account on saturday) and asked for the current situation on the other.
Got told that there may have been 100 or more cases logged on that day so it was not certain that two cases logged on the same day would be looked at together. It's now been 3 days and no sign of a transfer in so either its 4 days work to process one day of complaints or maybe they are not all in date order?
A poster has posted a win today that was put in Feb this year, you have had a win Jan this year,so if Barclays are doing this in date order, they really are not, when posters who have had claims in from last year have not been paid out yet.
This is not your fault:o i am just stating a case.
I have had one in for a year today, put on hold by the JR then got the goodwill letter.
Another poster is roughly the same and not been paid out, dont know what Barclays are playing at.0 -

so we will have to wait untill 2012!!!!!!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
We could have wins on the way to us as we speak:D:D:eek::eek:
Really pleased for the winners though :j:j:j:j:j
I have only had this claim messed about after lots of wins over 18 months ago, so i am not really complaining, i have waited patiently and will continue to do so:D
Just wish banks would do date order.0 -
Mmmmm there is something not right here, they should be going back to day one and working up with these, looks to me like they are going backwards
so we will have to wait untill 2012!!!!!!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

When I rang them when I got my goodwill letter (ours was a First Plus one so I dont know if it makes a difference) I was told that the offers would go out around 4 weeks then they would have 4 weeks to actully release the money and that would give them time before the 31st August. Its 4 weeks this coming Monday that I got my letter so I am hoping this person I spoke to was correct.0 -

Because people who had claims since last year have not been paid up yet !!.
Work that one out:D

I agree that something does not look right here, I was paid out on my first complaint in january - this was logged in november. The other 2 were not logged when they should have been and eventually got logged in january after my first payout. One of the remaining claims was paid out last week but I am still awaiting the other, I had assumed barclays had taken account of the fact these 2 should have been logged as separate cases in november but it seems people are still waiting from before these dates.
I queried if claims were being dealt with in date order and got told they could not comment on this. They also said some cases involved more investigation than others but if they
have agreed to pay out on all the pre april cases then why is more work needed on some than others?
I have seen people mention offer letters, from my experience I recieved both amounts into my bank account (I still have a cuurent account with them) these were credited before I received the letter which is just a list of ppi payments, interest etc. I think others got this letter alongside a cheque.0 -
My claim has been outstanding since October last year, I recieved the letter saying all cases would be paid out by end of august about 4 weeks ago, so hoping to hear something any day now..... although with Barclays, you never can be too sure!0

Thanks for that Dan. I am also waiting from October.
My new theory is that they are resolving this years complaints first and last years after. Like you said Dan with Barclays you can never be too sure!0 -
I think it is completely unfair that people who have had claims in for many months have been made to wait longer than some who have only recently submitted complaints, however, what gets me is if you have submitted a complaint to Barclays and it was done before the JR you know you're getting your money back no questions asked some time prior to 31st August, that is something to look forward to, go on to some of the other threads and see the misery and despair some people are going through, including one guy who is claiming on behalf of his disabled sister who has been flatly refused, she worked part time, disability benefits helped her get her loan in the first place and was self employed if this wasn't mis-sold I don't know, meanwhile some people in this thread complain that they have to wait, lets see, six weeks to get some money, they also went to their MP for help who seemingly didn't seem to be much help.
Remember youre better off than alot of people on similar threads who are fighting some of the harder nuts to crack, Norton, Ocean, First PLus etc etc.
I won't try and pretend that some or all of you will have similar stories, but remember you're getting you're money no questions asked and at sometime in the next few weeks and not all of us are that lucky.
Lastly don't take this as a personal jealous rant, I am really really happy that all of you will get you're refunds, and I want to read all of your stories and all so that I can take a little bit of comfort from it knowing that maybe I'll win my complaint.
Good luck and as my old gran used to say, don't spend it all in one shop! Thanks to all the competition posters.0 -

Smitchy of course you are right that it is good news that they have agreed to pay out.
However some of us dont know this for sure as when we spoke to the FOS they said its still
with an adjudicator and will take 9 months.
I feel we are not actually moaning but sharing our information, so we all know where we might stand
This also encourages each other.
I know some people may not get their money and yes we are 'lucky' in that respect but what is wrong with
us updating what we know?
Also as you said many of us could really need the money or be disabled, its not fair any of us need to
wait for money that was ours. none of us are rich, thats why we had loans in the first place.
Good luck to everyone claiming.0
