Has anyone heard from Barclays since the gesture of goodwill letter?

Thanks , we sent ours in October last year. We must be at the bottom of the pile. Booo!

This cannot be right!! a complaint put in for feb 11 and one put in for october 10, yet the feb 11 gets paid out first???????

Something not right here.Unless everyone with Barclays will hear this week?

Thanks Amersall, yes it does seem weird.

I tried to phone Barclays but could not pass the security check, they wanted our old phone number from two years ago (we havent used Barclays in two years). I have eventually found it and will call them Monday. Then again, as I keep getting reminded , they do have until August 31st.

I think everyone is getting confused here, lol... I have not been paid anything from Barclays!!

I said I had only just received the 1ST letter last week, there is 2 letters that are coming out. 1st letter just says they will refund, the 2nd letter explains the refund breakdown and total amount.

ahhhhh I think you are right. I thought when you said offer to settle you meant you had received a figure. That makes more sense. We got that letter the day they announced it on the news. So looks like we are all waiting for the actual amount.

TBH Rebecca I think the majority of people who made a complaint before 21st April should receive their refund before 31st August. You should get yours anytime now I should think

I spoke to barclays on monday to find out more about the order they are doing these in and I was told that it was in strict date order. I explained that they had logged two cases on the same day in January, paid out on one (into my account on saturday) and asked for the current situation on the other.
Got told that there may have been 100 or more cases logged on that day so it was not certain that two cases logged on the same day would be looked at together. It's now been 3 days and no sign of a transfer in so either its 4 days work to process one day of complaints or maybe they are not all in date order?

Quick Question please!

I received a letter from barclaycard around 5 weeks ago stating that they would pay me back plus the statutory 8% blah blah as a gesture of goodwill before the 31st of August - does this mean that I will definetely be getting a refund or is it that they are just sending out these 'standard' letters to everyone???
