Relax, Beanie, what will be will be. Your son will get a place. Somewhere. As long as it's not in the University of Outer Mongolia who cares? He will have his chance to get a decent qualification. Of course, you will miss your baby boy but you will be so proud of him.
P.S. Where's MY bit of kitkat chunky?????One life - your life - live it!0 -

Hi Bobalicious
Not been posting online much, but i do look in from time to time.
Got a query re the MBNA card. Is this one you were thinking of doing a balance transfer to - to clear the overdraft? You could check the promotions to see if they will allow a 0% money transfer (with x% fee) and transfer that to your current account. MBNA and Virgin used to allow that so might be worth looking at. They seem to alternate between 0% offers and LOB ones. Hope you manage to get it sorted though. After falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91
Dad Gift 6k ¦ Savings & Inv Tst: £2,500
Loan 10k: £0 ¦ Dad 5.5k: £2,270 ¦ LTSB: £0 ¦ RBS: £0 ¦ Virgin £0 ¦ Egg £0
Total Owed: £2,270 (+6k) 11/08/20110 -
Hi George, hope you are feeling a bit better now
Re the Mbna card, this would have worked fine, but Mr.B doesn't have the best track record with them and as i am linked to him;then it is a no go to applying for a card with them either. I got rid of Virgin card about three years ago, otherwise i would have considered that one, but again i think it would have gone against me. I have enough in my own account but it would completely wipe me out and i may struggle in September for payments until salary comes in. I am paid termly at the moment as not on permanent contract. I have second income re tuition coming in and i always put aside for eventualities...i just don't want to risk leaving myself with nothing. I will have to see what the end of the month brings and how much i can sort out.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

hi bob - hope this is not too off topic - but I have been busy working on saving the planet and creating a future (hopefully not too tiny) income stream from a blog site created as a result of my recent foray into Solar energy.

I know we're not allowed to make money from posting links, but there are no adverts or affiliate links at the moment, and I could really do with some friendly, but critical, eyes to look over (OH thinks everything I do is fabby - which is lovely, but I'm not sure I agree with her)
Thanks Mark
PS - if anyone objects just post a comment or PM me and I will edit it out ASAP (and be smiling)I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

Smiling and waving and looking so fine0
