Could this fault be related to the battery then? Not very tech aware.
It's a Packard Bell Ixtreme 6052 (model: VOL-CO2)14 projects in 2014: 3/140 -

The DSS multi player lite didn't work. We downloaded it to pc and still no joy. Olympus said that they didn't have one that would work with 7, which is contradictory since they seem to have them on their site!14 projects in 2014: 3/140 -
If I got a card reader would it be able to play .dss files without dss reader? Or would the dss software be able to be transferred onto another player?14 projects in 2014: 3/140

I just installed DSS Player Lite to my Windows 7 PC...mine is a 32 bit OS. Could yours be 64 bit? This could be the root of your problem.0 -
That's great. And which card reader would work with a Delkin eFilm - Flash memory card - 128 MB - SmartMedia card? And would the footpedal work with media player? Would it be media player that I would use to play the converted files?

It installed but didn't work. I don't know if its 64bit - a friend who is helping with transcribing has the 7 on her laptop, so I will have to check with her.14 projects in 2014: 3/140 -

Quite likely, as it's an old machine. Up to eight years old? Replacing the battery may do the trick.0 -

Didn't work in which way? You have to describe exactly what happens.0 -
I can't quite remember as it was my friend who was installing it on her laptop while I was on the phone to her. I can find out.14 projects in 2014: 3/140
