I ordered some head phones from 'Nice Cans' or Nasty Cans as I now call them about 10 days ago. They immediately debited my account and sent me a confirmation email telling me they would inform me of progress within 2 days. This was the last I heard from Nice Cans.
I've been had
I've since emailed Nice Cans 3 times and rang their telephone contact number - which nobody answers. Each and every time, there's been no reply. The money has gone, but no product arrived.
I am now on a mission to tell anyone who will listen about my experience of their fraudulent activities. Trading Standards, the Police, Citizens Advice Bureau, Facebook friends, The Blogosphere, BBC Watchdog, Dominic Littlewood,..... ANYONE. Surely these guys should be in prison???
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON 'NICE CANS' UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE RIPPED OFF.
Martin, any advice for dealing with people like this???0 -
The fact thatthe website took money and sent you an email just shows the website is still up and running - how do you know the person isnt already in jail and the site is stil ltaking orders anyway?0

I ordered a LunaTik watch band from them late afternoon on the 5th October. Had a "despatched" email on 6th. It hadn't arrived by the 12th so I emailed and they said they'd chase it up as it had been sent recorded post. We get recorded deliveries most days with no issues. That was the point where I came across this thread and started to fear the worst.
I emailed again on the 13th asking for the tracking number, but got no reply to that and on the 14th I emailed citing this thread and requesting they cancel and refund. I also advised that I would be contacting the credit card company to dispute the payment.
Yesterday (the 17th) I got an email from them with the tracking number of the package that the royal mail had now "located" and today it actually arrived.
In the end, it was a good price for what I received (it was new, sealed in box, not used/refurb) - but there are too many doubts in my mind to feel comfortable buying from them again.0 -
I thought I should post an update in the interest of fairness.
After my order I emailed twice, and left a message on their answerphone. None of these attempts got any reply. However in my third email I made it very clear that I would not let things lie and threatened official action if communication was not restored and my product delivered. THIS got a response (the first response to any of my communications) and my product was delivered within a couple of days.
So, the conclusion is, if you're determined to save a couple of quid, and are prepared to work your backside off to do it.. Nice Cans may be for you. If you want hassle free shopping, pay the extra couple of quid and go somewhere else.0 -
Hmmm... I placed an order with nicecans.co.uk a week ago, and as I hadn't received the items gave them a call today. I actually mnaged to speak to someone, but he was so vague I got a bit suspicious, and google brought me here!
I emailed them and mentioned this thread, and lo and behold, 10 minutes later I received an email saying that my order has been despatched! Whether it will arrive or not is another matter.

Just had this response from them:
'Hello I am very sorry for any delay in updating you about your order.
We started to offer 2 levels of postage recently - Free and expected.
over the past 5 days we have had so many orders that paid extra for
expected postage that these have all had to be sent out.
Orders with the free postage option are usually sent 2nd class postage
and arrive in about 5 working days. As your order was delayed we have
upgraded it and sent it 1st class recorded post so you should have it
Thursday at the latest.
We sent it with parcel number ********** this afternoon to:
[edited to remove my details]
I am sorry if you have had yor opinion made up about us from a forum.
I am sorry for this. We do send out over 1200 orders a week and can
make mistake. one thing I will say though is we always resolve
problems but often customers never then want to update the reviews or
remove them to show we have resolved the matter.
I hope you can write a review once the items arrive as again it seems
people will go out of their way to write a bad review but the balance
of the majority of happy customers keep quiet.
Thank you
Michael'
Fingers crossed! x0 -
Well - my order arrived today! The phone charger looks okay, might be a pre-loved one but is in excellent condition, but the phone battery is obviously brand new - so despite being a couple of days late, and needing a bit of chasing, I'm actually quite pleased with the end result
.

I hope your item gets through Fairylightlisa.
I ordered from Nicecans on 2/11/11 and received an auto-response on that day saying they would e-mail within 2 working days to update me on the progress of my order. They took the money from my credit card on 2/11/11.
When I had heard nothing on day 3, I googled the company and came across this thread, and my stomach dropped!
I have heard nothing further from them since the first auto response, despite e-mailing them 3 times to ask for updates, telephoning and leaving a message and completing a complaint form on their site.
Today I sent a letter by recorded delivery asking them to send me my order or cancel and refund my order.
Nicecans. came up as google shopping choice for the product and though I note that someone upthread said that google checkout no longer deals with them, if my goods fail to appear, I'm concerned how many people are going to be led to the site thinking it will provide an adequate service...
Wish me luck folks...0 -
