Hi all,
I recently purchased from this site and also never received the goods. I did manage to get a refund via my Credit Card though so I'd definitely recommend trying this if you haven't done so already.
In my opinion, nicecans.co.uk is definitely a con though and should be avoided. I should have stuck with my initial reaction as the site looks dodgy - it's not worth the risk to save a couple of quid.
What's particularly frustrating is that reviews for nicecans from review sites such as "trustpilot" are shown with the Google Shopping results. Given that the owner has literally flooded the trustpilot with fake reviews (note that they are all 5 star and have only ever written the one review) these give a false, positive, impression to buyers as the site is rated 4 stars!0 -
I ordered a car dock from Nicecans in early July. Nothing arrived and it was impossible to get hold of them either via email or phone. I then saw all the negative feedback, and felt really depressed to have been duped. I wrote to them in early August by recorded delivery - I threatened them with their local Trading Standards, a certain BBC consumer programme. This did the trick - within a few days I got an email saying the goods had been returned to them (do they think I'm an idiot?????) and they were being re-posted. I finally got the dock. I will never use them again as it was so much hassle.0

I ordered 2 Wii controllers with nunchucks, but nicecans.co.uk only dispatched 1 of each. I've had intermittent email responses from somebody calling himself David but the order has not been completed.
I used the Google Checkout refund procedure and Google said they no longer allow nicecans.co.uk to be a merchant with them.
If you have bought stuff from nicecans.co.uk through Google Checkout then I suggest you use the Google refund procedure - they are a lot more helpful and responsive than nicecans.co.uk.0 -

My experience too... 'David' is quick to reply with excuses... 'Closed for stock-taking', 'changing warehouses', 'changing supplier' are examples. He would also repeatedly ask for my address (despite it obviously being in his order system), or claim not to have received a returned item.
...all stalling tactics to avoid actually delivering anything to his customers.
As others have said, avoid nicecans.co.uk like the plague. Fake goods, fake company.0 -
I got this email from Google after having trouble with Nicecans for months.
Hello,
Thank you for contacting us about Google Order #XXXXXXXXX. We no
longer allow Nice Cans to process orders using Google Checkout. As your
account shows that you have already been charged for this order, we have
issued you a refund to the credit card used to place this order.
Refunds can take up to an additional three business days to appear on your
credit card statement. If the refund does not appear, please contact your
bank for more information. To see which credit card was used in this

I ordered an iHome IP1E ipod dock/player from NiceCans. The price was good and it linked though Amazon. It arrive promptly but it was immediately clear that it wasn't new but a refurb. I emailed them and received a prompt reply blaming the proverbial (it seems) warehouse move on the damaged box not being picked up. They were pushy in trying to get me a replacement rather than a refund which I have been insistent on. They sent a returns label and I paid a bit extra for the recorded to remove any doubt of its arrival back at their end - duly signed for. Communication has been polite and reasonably responsive but 6 days after receiving it back I still haven't been refunded. I have had to raise the tone of my email to insist it happens today. I'll update the thread as things develop. As I paid though my Amazon account and by credit card I know I'll get it back one way or another but when there are so many good internet retailers out there who needs this hassle.0

Hi wealdroam, thank you for the info. You are right but I understand that the regs also say that they should make the refund as soon as possible and that receipt of the goods is not conditional on that.
If the refund now comes through promptly I will be very happy to report that.
When we get such fantastic internet service from most retailers it comes as a shock when things don't go right, therefore retailers should work doubly hard to restore confidence when this happens. Regards.
UPDATE: 14th Sept - Email received from Amazon to confirm that the refund is being made to my credit card and it will arrive within 10 days.
Summary: Whilst I am critical of receiving a misdescribed item and that it was not the smoothest and easiest of refunds, NiceCans correspondence was always polite and apologetic and they have actioned the refund as you would hope for.0
