  • I also ordered from Nice Cans - just a simple car holder and charger for a mobile.

Wrong parts sent, no response to a large number of emails and phone calls.

    Not a surprise then.:(

Ordered Gorillapod camera tripod and ballhead on 9th September when payment of £49.99 was taken.

Hadn't heard by 13th, despite promise of further information within 2 working days, so I e-mailed them. 'David' e-mailed back on 14th September saying item dispatched.

Had not received by 21st so e-mailed them again. No response.

Reported them to the police today.

Reading the reviews on here and on trustpilot.co.uk, it is clear that this is a scam. Many people do not receive their goods, others allege that goods received are counterfeit or used.

All the positive reviews on trustpilot are 5 star. To leave a trustpilot review, you must have a valid order number -nicecans.co.uk obviously have unlimited valid order numbers allowing them to leave these fake positive reviews.

Don't order from them - give your money to charity instead of these thieves.

Got an e-mail from nicecans out of the blue on Wednesday 27th insisting that they are not fraudsters and have resent my order to arrive by "next weekend". Wrote back to them asking what "next weekend" means. No reply yet. Not holding my breath.

Wiganwayne, like you this is the first time I have had a bad experience and I also order a lot online.

I'm no expert on consumer rights but think that you are better placed if you paid by credit card. You can contact them and they will give you a form to fill in for a refund from them.

If you paid by debit card, then I think that your rights are limited. You may want to contact your bank for their advice.

If you paid by credit card, and the amount was over £100, then you can make a 'section 75' claim on your credit card company.
For further detail read the MSE article Section 75 Refunds.

If the amount was under £100 and paid by credit card, oryou paid by debit card, then both Visa and Mastercard run a 'chargeback' scheme which may help.
There is some info these schemes at the bottom of the above mentioned MSE article.
  • Right to update.......I placed my order at 7pm Tuesday. On Thursday morning I received an email telling me my order has been dispatched. They even provided me with a tracking number. So far so good I guess?!?
I will provide further updates if/when it arrives and what condition the product is in!

    another update!!

my item arrived today via parcel force and ive got to say im very very happy :j

the box the ipod dock came in was slightly damaged but im putting that down to being damaged in transit
as for the item itself it was well packaged and was in no way a return or a second

as stated in my first post i was extremely worried after reading all the previous comments but to be fair to them they (edited to keep visidigi happy) have done everything (for me at least) they said they would do. :T

they emailed me 2 days after i placed the order and provided me with a tracking number. they even emailed me today asking if i had recieved it and if everything was to my expectations.

so all in all im very very happy with the product and the service i recieved and i hope that you guys get your issues/refunds/returns sorted ASAP

To be fair mate not everyone is going to get ripped off, it is just a lot of people are having problems with them as you can read here in this thread, and other forums on the internet.

Glad to hear you got yours. :j
