    Jan 2025 £26561.43/£0. I want to clear £9000 this year (2025)
  • £5.00 for me today please towards cc.

I find all your attempts not to put heating on quite admirable but I'm not so sure it's good for you. I have a temperature chart given out by my local council.

    21 - is just right
    18 - ideal for bedroom
    15 - cool - with a risk of infection
    12 - TOO COLD
    9 - danger of hypothermia

    and on a brighter note it's Friday:j
  • Morning all

    That was interesting retiredandskint.
I didnt want to put my heating on until november, thought i would be able to put more into debtbusting and obviously my energy bills would rise slower..but i had to give in a couple of days ago.only coming on twice a day for an hour and half w=each time. thermostat set at 18 deg.
Because i pay monthly dd for my energy it shows on my bills i owe them money (year / 12) im pading a £1 a day to my electricity as well to try and lower the figures.Hate how much it all costs,

well enough of that my pad today is £4 please skaps:D

    Another £10.21 to MBNA today.

Have a clothing and book collector coming later so hopefully should have a slightly bigger PAD tomorrow. Also put some stuff on ebay, fingers crossed they will bring some extra PADS for next week too.

  • Hi all!

Just popping on quickly to pad all my payments for this month - £535.63 :D

I've got the heating on for a couple of hours in the morning and evenings but only because I'm completely paranoid about Finn getting cold - highly unlikely because its actually impossible to put him down :rotfl:

Hope everyone is ok, sorry I haven't had chance to read back!

Funny I like my lounge about 20.5c (which is what it is about now with one heater on in the bedroom and all the doors open to spread the heat)....21 and i'm toastie...22c and I'm opening the windows!!!!

But I had my heater off for the whole pm and evening yesterday and didn't notice..it was that warm and a lovely autumn afternoon outside

Just done snowball for next three months..If I can go without heavy whoopsie spends I will pay off £400 (approx) off debt each month and this thing (the macbook) will be cleared by end of feb....then next step is the EOD (evil overdraft)..

Phoned Creation Consumer Finance first thing re interest on the macbook and they said it was 19.9% (still high but I was expecting about 28%) apr and if I make extra payments by debit card it's £3 per transaction but if I do BT it's free but takes longer :D - so the kind chap gave me the bank details.....:T

    Result :)

    E
PS. I'm entitled to that 'warm homes' discount so that'll be better for me than the social tariff and keep me warm this winter :)....so pleased..thanks M a bunch for emailing me about it :D
