Phew ~ that's a relief! ( it being weekly rather than you being so cold obviously :o)

Not too bad I guess, mine is £28 a month but I am mega stingey, only have a light on in the room I'm sitting in, sold the tumble dryer, wash on 30, turn everything off that's not being used, don't use big oven ~ use side one or slow cooker etc.

I am on a one woman campaign against the power companies N* shower-of-sh*te particularly, in that they may think it's acceptable to hike their prices up, however it's not acceptable to me to pay them, therefore I'm using as little as possible and they can go swivel!

    *rant back on* (it seems)

  • See, I'd be sitting here turning blue if I had my way but my housemate has been turning the heating on. She also leaves LOTS of lights on....grrrr!!

I have an old system so the timer on the central heating is pants (and you can't turn individual radiators off!) so if I left it on constant but turn the thermostate down to 15 degrees will it only kick in when it drops below that? Sorry if that is a silly question!

  • On another question, what's the smallest PAD anyone's ever made to a CC? Do transactions of less than a pound go through on internet banking?

I can't do anything less than £1 on all mine now which is halifax, barclaycard and lloyds tsb. :(

    Yeah, that's how mine works.

I nearly cracked tonight on the heating, but haven't succumbed yet...apparently the weekend is set to be quite warm, so I reckon we can make it to Monday at least! :T I've always wondered how much central heating actually costs per hour...I know it would vary from house to house, but someone should work out a cost per radiator per hour...it would make very interesting reading!

PAD £15.00 for today (21st) to Barclaycard CC.

    £69.57 for me today please.

I caved last night and put the heating on for half an hour, but I'm getting a cold and felt sorry for myself :( I was curled up in bed with a hot water bottle by 10pm :D
