Morning all - well I still have a rotten cough, I've had it for a week now :O( but got some cough medicine yesterday which is working wonders.

We are still managing without heating here, we are determined to not switch it on until November, which we like but the cats don't much. They are like velcro at the moment, every second I sit down they want to be on my lap, in my jumper etc etc lol! I will have to knit them some little jumpers!! Have you guys switched your heating on yet?

PAD £50 today to Lloyds TSWee. This is the amount I still owe them from this month's bill, oops. Hopefully it will stop the phone calls! :o This is the last 'big' PAD I will make now until the end of the month, it'll be back to the pennies tomorrow.

On another question, what's the smallest PAD anyone's ever made to a CC? Do transactions of less than a pound go through on internet banking?

Good morning all, I guess I'm about to answer your question thevinternet, I have a pad today of just 79p towards my Virgin Credit Card. I always either pay £1 or more, just round down whatever's in my bank account but some days when there's a lot of month and not a lot of pound left I PAD less. It all goes through ok on internet banking.

As for the heating, I sat with woolly socks, a jumper, hot water bottle and a blanket yesterday afternoon and was still freezing! I gave in this morning though and have it on in the bedroom just now otherwise I'll never get up!

Ours isn't on yet. I'm quite hardcore about not switching it on. It has to go on in the morning to heat water for a shower, but not normally for more than about 20 minutes.

Our cats like jumpers too :D I have left two old ones on the floor for them to curl up in, and they're very happy with that!

£54.11 for me today please Skaps!
  • £1.70 for me today please. It'll be interesting to see how much I've accumulated over the month.

I envy you with still managing without heating, Ours is always set to 15 and up until now it hasnt come on but Ive woken up to a toastie house so the temperature must have dropped below 15. Apparently its better to leave the heating on a constant set temperature so if it drops below then it comes on instead on cranking it up! Dont know if its true or not! Bless your cats, knit them a nice big blanket! x

    morning all,

we have had some issues with the house so look slike I wont be able to do the 0% BT for my most expensive card as we may need the money for the house - oh well, swings and roundabouts - trying to not let it get to me and just get on with ebaying like mad instead!!

PAD £7.43 towards halicrap CC today, STILL waiting on expenses - what a surprise and now have the cold/flu (I don't know teh difference!¬). Am rather glad tomorrow is Friday!

Hope everyone is doing well and in response to the question our heating has been on for a week - I was struggling to get out of my warm bed into the freezing house!
