    Happy Belated Birthday Slowly.

Here dead we lie because we did not choose
To live and shame the land from which we sprung.
Life, to be sure, is nothing much to lose,
But young men think it is,
    And we were young.

Hi I am new to the site but need to start living more frugally (and win competitions for luxuries lol). This looked interesting but what do you do or how do you get involved?

Anyone see Panorama on Monday, all about the supermarket 'price war'? Nothing new, they are just a bunch of con artists and money grabbing leeches really!

Edit: OK, so I have looked at the coupons. I know this isnt the place to ask (mods - look away now!) but if I have, say a coupon for £1 for cream cheese...and that cream cheese is on offer at £1, do I get it for free? Will I have to buy something else so it doesn't look like I'm getting something for nothing?

Hi Blairweech, your doing nothing wrong giving the right coupon in and getting it for free.. they do limit one per person when you print them out and they cant be photocopied.. other wise buy away.. totally free :-)

Hope all you Scots keep safe today - its very still and calm down here at the moment so I think we will be getting the wind later!
We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment

Yes you'd get the product for free. I've never tried to buy just one item with coupon that would make it free, but I have come away with a bag full of shopping and only had to pay pennies. You could always try at the self scan if all you wanted was the one item.:)

My daughters friend went to a "posh" hotel for her nans birthday meal with all her family. She popped to the loo and when she came out she found a man laying on the floor with blood coming out of his head:eek: She started to shout at everyone to ring an ambulance and she couldn't understand why everyone was stood round not doing anything then someone pointed to the board saying Murder mystery weekend :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
