The do mark down but usually not that much. DH even asked if we could buy the packed meat for the cats :rotfl::rotfl:
Ohhhh noooo, what a waste!
I've had some really good mark downs in ours - they know I cook & freeze the dog's dinners and I often go in to "xxxxx loads of reduced chicken / mince for the dog tonight";)Blairweech wrote: »I will go back again later this evening when she has clocked off :rotfl:
:rotfl:Like your style!
Ohhhh I so wish I lived near "proper" supermarkets so I could pop in on an evening in case there were whoopsies .... sigh .....
Spoke to consultant's sec today - he's not worried about my foot and says it's still early days and it will take a long time to heal ... so I guess good but frustrating all the same:(
Feeling slightly better today - go through bouts of sneezing for a couple of hours then clear up for a wee while but still knackered - however, a def improvement on yesterday:)Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)
2016 Sell: £125/£250
£1,000 Emergency Fund Challenge #78 £3.96 / £1,000Vet Fund: £410.93 / £1,000
Debt free & determined to stay that way!0 -
Ruby I thought it was a pet but thought I'd better check
Had a google on images as I didn't know what they looked like. Wow they are gorgeous aren't they?
rising_from_the_ashes wrote: »Oh they so do, don't they!:DThey've really kept me sane the past few weeks, I can't imagine what it'd have been like being stuck in the house all by myself - I always feel like I've got company as there's at least one 4-legged person around whichever room I'm in:)
Aw little sweeties rising.i know what you mean rising from the ashes, and dizzy lizzy, as i am in my element when i pop round mums to visit and drop stuff off for the cat thats partly mine that lives with her and the other 4 cats she has.
I love our little Jack Russell UnluckyT but I love cats too. The more the merrierI did have a cat when I was little, a tabby, but she went to live with the neighbour over the road, who always had her fire on full, with around 6 lazy cats lying in front of it
Cats eh!

How could she refuse Blairweech? Cheeky devil!
paidinchicks its shameful isn't it all that food going to waste? We live in such a throwaway society.
Frugal I was in two minds about learning a language. Didn't know to do French or Spanish. Anway as I was a bit rubbish at French at school so I decided on Spanish and bought a book off amazon this one. It's very good and if I did it more often it would be even betterI looked at all the available courses nearby but as OH is off to work earlier at the moment and he takes the car it would have meant getting a bus there and back, which I'm not bothered about, but I didn't want the walking as well to the bus station now Winter is here. I don't like walking anywhere in the dark on my own
Have you been on BBC Languages. You get tutorial emails free with a virtual 'tutor'. Quite good fun too. (There's my nod to the frugal part of the thread)
Good luck with it
My chest is still playing up but I'm keeping warm and hoping for the best. I really do not want antibiotics
Took my crochet into work for lunchtimes. At least if I don't get a chance to do it at home at least I can do some there. Managed to do some snowflakes in preparation for sssshhhhhhhh...Christmas.
I've lost one of my little Christmas x stitch kits as well. It was only a cheapie from Hobbycraft but it's annoying me! I've looked all over for it too
Warm hugs and hot toddys to everyone.

What is a 'wombled' receipt?
It is a receipt found around Mr T where the original purchaser did not use a Clubcard. There is a barcode on the bottom which customer service will scan onto a Clubcard for you (have to pretend its your receipt). Thus, free points for no spend :T
Dizzy - Yes, I was surprised, wondered if it was some new policy to go with the pulling of double points (seeing as they only made £3.8bn last year )
I should really be boycotting them, my OH has just been made redundant at his company because they cancelled 9 lines of product (£6 million/week) with two weeks notice - but that would not help him get his job back, so no point really. We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0 -

Oooooooh, great idea, do you have a link to easy crochet snowflake instructions please.
I'm about 3/4 way through a large patchwork quilt for my sisters xmas present and have a few things tucked away in the xmas box but I better get a move on!0 -
Good luck with the Spanish Dizzy I have tried to learn it several times to no avail even though I used to be fluent in French!
I am keeping Jericho company again had a nice walk through the park to get here but now need to go for a swim as I have noticed the pounds are creeping up but this place is like a bubble and you don't feel inclined to move for some reason.
I went to Waitrose Tuesday night as I was doing spready/picky bits tea and managed to get some great bargains some delicious goats cheese and chilli jam rolls reduced from £2.80 to 19p and some lovely wraps reduced but I still managed to spend a fortune that is the trouble with Waitrose. I did stock up on some fancy cheeses to go with the girl's birthday biscuits for cheese - she is such an old lady!
Right swim swim swim! Here dead we lie because we did not choose
To live and shame the land from which we sprung.
Life, to be sure, is nothing much to lose,
But young men think it is,
And we were young.
