    Hello fellow frugallers:j
Well done on the job SF- I know it's not permanent but it's a step in the right direction and it means that you'll be there if anything else does crop up. Take it easy DL and hope you feel better soon.

Most frugal day here at GBT- have managed to score some well rotted manure for our new veggie borders [they're only dinky btw!] from freecycle. Mr GBT and I can have a romantic trip out to fill some bags of it next weekend- we're also planning to buy some more raspberry canes as only one survived last winter's harsh weather.

No spends incurred here other than £4 for a month's advert in the local newsagent's window offering my admin services. I will keep trying until I crack this job malarky:D Mainly domestic trivia today- have finally worked out when saving the spare rubber glove when one goes into holes simply to turn it inside out as I always get a hole in the right one so end up with lots of single left handed ones! I have also discovered today that the lids from Pringles are perfect for covering the cat's tin of food in the fridge. Have done a lovely recipe for Spanish chicken in the sc today- there's enough gravy left to make us some soup later in the week for lunch!

I'm off to bed early...taking slowly and Arils advice :)
I'm going to take a cup of tea up with me and do a bit of cross stitch I think. That's if my daughter with fur (the dog) will let me. I'm very soft with her and when OH is working she sleeps on the bed, cuddled in a ball right next to me, not under the covers I hasten to add! He doesn't agree with it all but on the odd occasion I have snuck her in when he's asleep. I cant resist her big sad eyes at bedtime though. Anyway I need a snuggle 'cos I is ill, your honour' that's by defence anyway.
Hope everyone is okay in this dreary rain.

    Morning

Hope you're feeling better today Dizzie.

Slowly - sorry you didn't get a permanent post but hopefully when something else comes up you'll be first in the queue!

Not much to report here, spendy day yesterday, petrol, hair cut and colour, shopping but I have meal planned for the rest of the week and I shouldn't need to spend anything else I hope!

For anyone with boys to buy for for xmas the Sun are giving away lego all this week, ideal stocking fillers for the price of a paper.

  • Hi everyone:)

SF sorry about the perm post, be really pleased you've got something to keep you going just now
Dizzy hope you feel better soon xx
Aril I love the sound of your romatic weekend - filling manure sacks:eek:

Not having a great week.... I've also got the "lurgi" - have no idea how I've managed that as not been anywhere for nearly 4 weeks:eek: it must've been one of my visitors bringing it in:(. Roasting hot one minute and then frozen the next so several layers of clothing / duvets lying around to I can fling on/off as needed:D

Also waiting for my consultant to phone today - foot's not progressing as quick as I'd like:(. It seemed OK last week but has been really sore since Sunday (not sure what I've done) and still can't weight bear on it, which I think I should be able to do by now. Fingers crossed he can come up with some suggestions as getting a bit fed up now!:o

However, I did have one of my favourite starts to the day tho' - Mr Pooch arrived on my bed at around 5am for a cuddle (he doesn't come on very often) so we had a lovely snuggle up and I went back to sleep for a wee while:D.

    Have a good day everyone.

    Hello everyone.

Just a mini spend on cat food for me yesterday but I do feel that I will need to get my hair cut soon and that will be a big spend.

I am in that spend a lot of money on a hair cut camp I'm afraid as I hate getting my haircut and love my hairdresser.

Will get it coloured for free though.

I'm down at the boys keeping Bengal Jericho company as he has gone to New York for a month.

Usually the girl moves in but she wants her Mummy at the moment!

He left me the most amazing dinner of roast pork, parsnips, roast pots and onions yesterday I don't even like pork usually! That saved me having to cook and I left everyone to fend for themselves.

My course went really well and I was very proud as I had to facilitate a group with someone else and we were told our presentation could not be faulted! It's very heavy going though and is really taking it out of me!

Hope you soon feel bright and breezy Dizzy and love to all! xxx
