Hello everyone. Did a really long post on Friday, quoting etc. then clicked the wrong key and lost it. The air was a lot of shades of blue!! Just caught up now.slowlyfading wrote: »Afternoon everyone.
I'm sorry I don't really post on here at the moment; I'm struggling with some things and don't really have anything positive to post.
Hope everyone is having a nice Sunday
Aw huge hugs Slowly and hope everything soon gets on an even keel.Good news on job front, school have just phoned me and asked if I would like to be a "bank" TA so I cover when others are on courses etc, they will have to offer it to other parent helpers and i will ahve to have a short interview but fingers crossed, I'm very happy :j
I'm chuffed to bits for you Natnat. I know you were feeling despondant about the job front and this is excellent news. You're on the first step of the ladder here natnat. Quite a few of our staff are parents with children in school who came in as parent helpers and then did NVQs.
Aril I posted a lovely Happy Birthday emoticon I'd found for your Birthday (belated) but it was part of the long post I lost so...hope it was a brilliant birthday.
Rising. Sorry you missed the Sun. Hope this brings a little warmth...
Big Hellos to new posters...welcome to one of the most supportive, friendly threads on mse.
Love to all

Hi newbies!
It's too early for me to remember names, sorry.... Good luck with parent helper job interview.... Sorry you're feeling blue.... Go ahead and grumble.... Hugs to those that need them.
Re people who irritate me... High on my list was a single mum who has debt, and all the benefits and CSA she can get... Gets £50 - £200 each time she has a shot at a job, but they *never work out... She spends it all on taxis, holidays and designer stuff (so rude about us that use charity shops and busses)... And still has the debt.... I can't help wondering if she,ll eventually go bankrupt.
OH friends who have more money than sense don't bother me much... My huge Telly was theirs first! 2yrs old but Rejected because it didnt do HD. It replaced ours that couldn't do digital that was nearly 20 urs old!!!
I have a random day off work today... Have to work thurs instead though. Confusing.
Anyone know if TKMaxx ever do free delivery?Relax, Breathe, Love 2014 Challenges:Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger 23. Frugal Living Challenger. No buying cleaning products. I used MSE advice to reduce my car insurance from 550 to 325!! & paid it off in full!!!0 -

got the car insurance down to £260, it's so expensive because I live in the centre of Bristol and it's parked on the road I think. It took me about 2 hours this morning sifting through all the MSE guides and comparison sites.0

I had someone drive into me and wrote the car off. The insurance quotes have gone up on mine, DH, and DD as I am named driver on three policies. They have said this is because even though it was a no fault claim I am more likely to have an accident because I have been in one :mad: That and women driver policies are going up next year due to it European law they can not be cheaper than a mans as it is discrimination. The lowest I could get was £210 and that is after hours of comparison sites and checking cash back etc. I thought this was terrible but after speaking to a few people down the street they all pay £500 plus so I may not be that bad but with cashback etc I am used to getting it for around £80
Good news about the council tax not going up..........nice to know the government care about us all struggling :rotfl::rotfl:
I am a bit of a floater voter and tend to vote for the party that suits my needs at the time. I am glad we don't have to vote soon as I would not have a clue who I would vote for as they are all talking a load of twaddle.

This makes me sooooooo cross - I have a friend whos insurance is over £2000 this year because last winter with all the ice and snow, 3 seperate people smashed into her car. What is the point in having insurance if you have to pay for other people's accidents anyway?!!We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0 -

That's terrible  Three times
I have heard of people at DH work who have been hit and when they go through the insurance they also claim for 5ys worth of extra premium increases as well as damage and injuries. Mind you the price of insurance rises for 5 yrs will be more than most peoples cars are worth :rotfl:0 -
Hello everyone
I have had an exhausting few days!
Girlie went away at the weekend and took the iPad charger with her and had left the other one at the boys.
I decided I couldn't be bothered to collect it and waited until Sunday when he came to dinner to get it back.
I am so pleased as I managed to get so much done.
I've been setting the timer for thirty minutes and then having a break.
Got the kitchen totally cleared, the bedroom including hoovering the walls still dusty from the sanding, started on the back room, saw my neighbour and cut down a hedge.
Monday I had my course which went really well and then went for a swim straight after - did fourteen lengths of a 50 metre pool.
Also went down to the boys to feed the cat as he is Praque shooting the L'oreal campaign.
Another busy day yesterday and also a spendy one.
Went to feed the cat in the morning then to my walking group in the afternoon which I was leading.
We had a lovely walk round Abany Park Cemetery.
Then off to Westfield East with the girlie to get her some boots and an outfit for her birthday.
Managed to save £15 on the boots due to a little scuff - they were the last pair.
Treated us to dinner in Wagamummys after and then went to feed the cat again and walked home.
Finally got to sit down around 10. 30pm!
I'm also quite pleased as I've managed to get money taken off the phone from when I was without the Internet ages ago and got a late fee refunded on my credit card as I'd accidentally paid it on a weekend.
Right now to catch up with you all!
Hope all are well! XHere dead we lie because we did not choose
To live and shame the land from which we sprung.
Life, to be sure, is nothing much to lose,
But young men think it is,
And we were young.
A E Housman0
