    I've only just seen this thread, can I ask... how does everyone who makes cakepops get the coating to be smooth? I tried at halloween and got this result!

    I used Candy Melts for my first batch and when I melted it down it was too thick and they ended up like this. I added a little milk to smooth it out and it was fine after that. I used silver spoon orange and strawberry buttons for my next batch and the texture was much smoother and runnier than the batch of candy melts I'd used. The silver spoon ones tasted fabulous too! x

    I know this isn't strictly allowed, but as we're all friends here, I wondered if you'd vote for my Wonka cake to win a competition on Dr Oetker's facebook page. Pretty please :)

    thanks so much, I used Candy Melts too... for the one on top of my mum's xmas cake I'mgoing to use plain old white chocolate!
