  • I got a present of some cash from my great aunt today - combined birthday and christmas present - which meant I could finally afford to order the kenwood chef. Even better it was £171 when I last looked on Amazon and is now £159. :D

Can't wait for it to arrive.

A few quite simple ideas here.

This is the cake I made for dads 70th birthday on friday wanted to do a bit more decorating on it but ran out of time as I was also doing the catering for 120 people but I was quite pleased with how it turned out http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g437/disneynutuk/SAM_0428.jpg

I made this Club Penguin cake for my daughters 9th birthday on Tuesday. I'm really pleased with how it looked! Tasted great too and she was thrilled with it! All handmade and edible!

These cutters work best with flower paste or with fondant that has had gum trag added to it to make it harden, and you need to roll it quite thin and give the cutters a good bang off the counter for the letters to come out.

Thanks! I just used normal sugarpaste that I had added tylose powder to. It was the left overs from the penguins and puffles! You do have to roll it really thin as Emms said. And give them a good bang! Some of the letters I had to carefully poke out from the front and others just fell out. That was the first time I'd used them.
