I love the cakes, everyone! I also made some teachers cupcakes, but my orders were not very exciting, people only wanted pretty flowers etc! Annie love the notepage cupcake!

I have an 18th cake next week & the boy is into boxing, so I will have a go at some miniature boxing gloves. I am in Lincolnshire for the next few days so no baking till Tuesday for me!!

Hey ladies, just wondered do any of you do themed cake pops? Just simple ones like Lego men? if so do you have any pics? My sons birthday is coming up in September and he doesn't want a party so we are heading to the Lego Discovery centre and other places for the weekend. He pretty much only plays with lego, he has lots of other toys but it is always new inventions with Lego! If you do make them what sort of price do you charge? PM me if you prefer :)

I didn't make these, but found them online and thought they were FAB. You may have seen them before.

  • Hi lovely baking MSE'rs.

Just catching up with the thread again, loving all the cakes and cupcakes. I've noticed quite a few questions about the best colours to use, etc and if it's ok can I post a wee link to one of my blog posts. I had a big clearout recently and re-organised all my baking supplies and decided to do a rundown of all the equipment I've amassed over the last few years. I'm only a spare time baker but I think it's a good breakdown of some basic supplies for the amatuer baker including colours, piping, cutters, modelling tools, cupcake wrappers...etc. Feel free to check out the rest of my blog for pics, recipes, reviews (it needs badly updated with recent baking endeavours!)

Gully, I love the Sesame Street designs. Elmo is a great one too.

What a great idea to write the colour on the lid of the food colour pots! I'm so going to do that.

Thank you! Yes I get most of my tools from eBay. They're mostly cheaper versions of the brand names, but they do the job for me :)
