I love my prospero MYMP! We use it for loads of things (mainly cakes though!) x0
-
Legendmum - loving Mario
Monkeymagic - beautiful cupcakes, I really must invest in a grass nozzle, what issue did the stencil come in?
Julie03 - Wow they are great cakes, haven't tried a tiered cake yet.
MYMP - Glad you like the Kenwood, am loving mine.
One quick question - when baking cakes that call for vegetable oil do any of you have a preferred brand or do you get whichever is on offer.
Thanks0 -
I just used what was on offer britbok!

thanks britbok and makeyourmummyproud and nanamia, I thought it would be quite daunting to do but it was quite easy. I made an 8oz cake mix (8oz of sugar, butter, flour, 3 eggs, 1 tsp baking powder and 1tsp vanilla) and split it into 2 bowls, and then adding the gel colours a bit at a time to get the right colour, then baked them in 8" tins. I made the red and green ones last wednesday and froze them, then made the orange and blue ones on saturday.
Awesome2 and legendmum, the chequered flags i bought were, again, from ebay (my favourite haunt, cant you tell?! lol). they were only a couple of £, nothing too much, and the chequered ribbon around the bottom was from ebay as well. this is the link to the ribbon - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/190580016333?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649
and this is the link for the flags - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Cupcake-Cake-picks-Harley-Davidson-Checkered-Flag-Transportation-plane-train-/400295089594?pt=Uk_Crafts_Cake_Decorating_MJ&var=&hash=item9c0106b947
I agree with monkeymagic and get a grass tip, it will really help I think.

Thank you Monkeymagic and Awesome!
The picture on the front was a printed cake topper provided by the lady I was making the cake for. I was actually a bit anal about it all and hubby and I measured out all the dimensions for the stripes and he drew templates onto baking paper and I used them to cut around!
It's not as neat in real life though! The photo hides a multitude of sins (as is usual with my cakes!)0 -
Do any of you have a fab recipe for a 20cm square tin vanilla sponge?
Thanks x0
