I need help please? Anyone here have got a moist victoria sponge recipe? My friend complaint that my recipe which I baked for her as a sample was a bit dry. Another thing, the other day someone was talking about a sugar syrup to brush on a cake to make it moist but forgot who and can't find it that part of the thread. How do I make sugar syrup please? How much will I brush on an 8" cake?
Many thanks in advance! Have a nice day everyone! x
An earlier post on this thread suggested the Easy Vanilla Cake from the BBCgoodfood website, it uses a sugar syrup and tells you how to make it. HTH0 -

thanks for everyone that has passed on their best wishes about registering my cakes as a business. My local council have been really good and sent me details of what I need to achieve in my home kitchen, plus I'll need level 2 food hygiene, my council runs a day course and its £60 but you ca do it online for around £30. They are also going to do an advice visit and then prepare a full inspection. Its free to register the business as well. When I've had the advice visit I'll let everyone know
Finally my great nephews birthday was yesterday and the cake went down a storm. heres a pic of when it was cut - especially for Nanamia! -You're so very special, I wish I was special :dance:0 -
