Love the cakes as usual.
Hiya moosetastic! It's good to know that you are registering your passion as a business. Congratulations!I asked here the other day who amongst the lovely ladies here have licence and have the legal side of the cake business BUT was ignored.
( I don't know if it was just overlooked or nothing here have registered in the council (but soon to be you) is registered.
I'm so looking forward hearing from you about the council very soon. Good luck!
Many thanks in advance!

Hiya Queena!
It depends what recipe you fancy... In the previous conversations (can't find it though) shegirl gave me a basic victoria recipe.
Basically, I just go to BBC Good Food recipes or Nigella's and just try it. Best of luck! x0 -
Britbok I love the cupcake bouquet it looks gorgeous and as for ganache well it looks brilliant, it's the one thing I'm useless at!
Moosetastic the lightning McQueen is fab! It looks really great!
Amysb86 I did this cake for a friend at work who asked if I could decorate a fruit cake she'd made for her Mum's 80th. I like it because it's pretty and nice and simple.
This cake is so pretty, love cakes with flowers on them.0 -
I just love this thread, I go back through the pages regularly and love looking at the cakes and getting ideas/recipes/help. Amazing talent all in one place. Moosetastic I would also be interested in what the Council/Enviro Health have to say. Although I work full time there is a possibility of redundancies so need to be looking at ways to make a living0

My hubby would like me to make it legit too so I can begin to think about being a permanent stay/work at home mummy. I only work 2 12 hour nightshifts a week but with 3 kids I really want to be able to give them more of my time0 -
Hi, can someone please help? I have been asked to make a wedding cake for a friend, not usually a problem, but they have asked for chocolate cake. I always crumbcoat my cakes before covering with fondant, but will this be sufficient to cover the colour of the chocolate cake. They want white icing?0

whittysmum - the christening cake I did (think the picture is on the previous page) the bottom tier is chocolate and covered in white sugarpaste. As long as you don't roll out your sugarpaste too thin then you'll be fine0
