When is their Anniversay Rachel90? Do you have long to practice?

I learnt practically everything from watching tutorials on You Tube. Also, you can do google search for cakes and there are loads of images you could use for ideas.

Ask loads of questions on here, somebody always knows the answer!

You shouldn't be regretting it at all! You might be a bit stressed out by it all, but once you've done it you'll be on a high and it wil all be worth it. Your parents will be so chuffed that you made their special cake too.

One cake I saw on google was white icing but royal blue sponge once it was cut. You could maybe do something like that?

    HTH!

    This weekends bakes:

The cupcakes were for an Anniversary Garden Party. The guy is Dutch and their wedding colours were orange and blue. I did a batch of orange cases and blue icing too but forgot to take a picture :(

The christening cake for my son was a bit more basic than I had wanted but time wasn't on my side! The bottom was chocolate cake with Galaxy buttercream and the top was Lemon sponge and lemon buttercream. Both were delicious!

No sugarpaste Grandads or Grandchildren either due to the time restrictions but I had been given pretty much free reign with this cake anyway so my sister and her MiL were delighted with it anyway.

Got an Ice Hockey jumper cake to do this week which I'm looking forward to.

Thanks, their anniversary is on the 16th May so not much time to practise!
Will have to make some plans I think and maybe practise flowers etc. Not sure about the blue sponge really, might put them off? lol

Rachel what about using a blossom cutter and do some blue flowers on a white cake. It could look really beautiful but quite simple to do and look really elegant.

This was my first cake that I ever did for my Mum's 60th. The top tier was a polystyrene dummy as only needed 2 tiers but looked better with 3. I watched the you tube tutorials on flowers etc with the cutters.
