For the choccy one, it was 50g butter, 50g trex, 150g icing sugar and 50g cocoa and 1 tbspn milk. The pink/white one, was half a tub of betty Crocker that I had left over, and the same butter/trex mix (without the cocoa obviously) and 200g icing sugar. I think the pink was still a little soft, but better than yesterdays attempt.
I also did the half and half, but I think the colours were so similar you can't really tell. Oh well, it's an excuse to do some more and have a play :rotfl:0 -
thanks sharalee will put milk in next time:( lol0

Hi what topping did you use it looks very nice? I just tried the 1/2 lurpak and trex option tried the 2 colour cream into same bag putting the white in first then the pink but it didn't work just first lot came out white and then pink any idea why guys? maybe it was a bit thick never used trex before am i suppose to add milk or something:o?
Your cupcakes are lovely - well done. :T
Something that was very successful for me was to smear some paste colour on the inside of the icing bag with a 2D tip then add the icing and the paste will tint the edges of the roses. Each rose is different just as in nature. Oh and the buttercream was made with half and half trex/butter.0 -

Sharalee99; Your cakes are beautiful I bet they taste lovely. Pity you don't live next door to me as you can pass them over to me!
Golden Anemone; How gorgeous are your rosy cupcakes. You almost don't want to eat them. Very clever.0
