Hi, I wonder if anyone could offer me any advice. I love baking and my cakes are very popular with my friends and family! I have been offered a stall at my local community market, which seems to lack a stall which sells homebaked cakes. There is a stall which sells cupcakes and cake pops but not any traditional type cakes/muffins/biscuits so I thought I might go for that type of cake.
What I'm wondering about is how I go about pricing things up and wondered if anyone had any experience of this type of thing?Cross Stitch Challenge Member ?Number 2013 challenge = to complete rest of millenium sampler.0 -
Hope you don't mind me asking, been a lurker on the thread for a while........... thinking of trying out a giant cupcake do you all use silicone moulds or metal tins?? which appears to give the better result please?? my little one had some silicone bakeware for Christmas and we had a baking session the ingredients stuck to the sillicone:( checked box and nothing stated about greasing them. Any help most appreciated !!0

Can anyone give me hints and tips for making sugarpaste people, footballers in particular! I've never made people before and it's for hubby's birthday cake.

Hiya,i like my silicone mould for the giant cupcakes but i always give it a little wipe over with oil then flour mine inside first as they then peel out lovely-but leave to go cold before you attempt to take it out as i found if you dont you get into a broken mess. I like the fact i can remove the top before the bottom as that cooks before the bottom does some times, especially i have found if i am baking with the insert in. Hope thats been of a little help.
Nat thats really kind of you to say, thankyou:j cazian :j

Thanks Nanamia, I'll have a look. I take it I can use sugarpaste with CMC added to it? I've got 11 to make0

Yeh u can add it. It makes the figures harden, I prefer using sugarpaste without but think that's just preference. Have fun with it can't wait to c the finished cake:-)The secret of Christmas
