I'm bruised again due to another pedestrian who didn't look.

That's two since the start of Spring who've been knocked down by me for not looking at a pedestrian crossing whilst their light is red.

Simple solution - park on another road that they don't all play on?

Parking permits usually cover quite a few roads in an area.

Might be a slight inconvienience but stops your car from getting damaged.

You can always go and pick the car up and then your Mrs if she can't manage walking a few roads and to drop shopping off etc.

Life really is too short and it doesn't sound like you are going to get any resolution if you have talked to the parents and they haven't done anything.

People need to sue the pants off each other haha yes... great. You go for it!! I bet the OP doesn't! You do like to make ridiculous assumptions about people don't you.

It's such a shame there are down trodden miserable folk like you around it really is. No wonder we are turning more and more like the yanks is it.

Its shame this country is full of spineless people who instead of standing up to a problem you are quite happy to just sell up and move, the brits have a habit of moaning behind closed doors but when asked outright if there is a problem they stammer and say nothing is wrong!!!

Not once did I say your first course of action should be to sue them that should be the final solution if nothing else works. As adults you should talk to your neighbours like an adult and raise your problem with them in the hope that they as adults too will consider the problem and come to a solution that suits both parties. At the end of the day damage has been caused and the parents of those who are responsible should be good enough to pay for it without the need to be sued, its called being a decent human being. The problem is there aren't many of those around these days and the only way you can get people take responsibility for their actions or those they are guardians of is to take them to court to get your costs back. It is sad you have to go this far but no one takes responsibility anymore as they are happy to let someone else pick up the bill.

^^ Great how parents these days teach kids, that their actions have no consequences at all and they can do whatever like, no matter what damage they cause.

I totally agree and its the attitude of far too many now, blimey i'm only in my late 20's but I know when I was a kid and damaged something my parents would pay for it whether or not they could afford to or not and I will do the same for my own kids.

Hi everyone to answer some of the posts
    1) We have permit parking, I pay money to park in my street. This would mean I have the right to park there ??
    2) Pedestrians use that path also, so the kids swerve around them and bang into the car. Other times its kids bumping into the car trying to avoid other children playing.

Sorry are you parking entirely on the road or not?

Are you saying the kids are cycling on the pavement and then swerve into your car parked on the road? Is there a kerb between your car and the road?
    4) This is a park less then 2 streets away, parents just let them play out do what they want, no they are not chav families, just families with lots of children...

They sound like chavs to me.

Unfortunately the OP seems to be a typical "join up and get sympathy and advice" then not bother thanking anyone and fing off troll!

He has answered NO questions about the background situation or why it has got to this stage. Why does he have CCTV at his house? If he has CCTV can he not go to the parents / police - with the video evidence?

Why are the other parents so unresponsive? Is it because he is a complete a55hole?

Can he park in another road so that this won't happen?

No response to any sensible, genuine question.

He is a pi55 taking troll.

The children cycle on the paths and the car keeps getting scratched. Doesnt sound like he is parking on the road at all. Sounds like he is parking on verge/pavement.

We tell them on a daily basis, go play down your end of the street but they just give a load of cheek back and laugh at you. My wife is 6 months pregnant and one of the children cycled into her, luckily she didn't fall. I told the child's mum and she said they are not doing any thing wrong just playing, oh nd dont get me started on ball games in the street...

If they are causing anti-social behaviour you need inform the police.
The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark
