I think the gender of the victim and aggressor are irrelevant. If a person is being abused, they should receive support and advice.

Actually Mojisola, I was referring more to this post from you rather than James's, which was at least offering empathy (with a slightly bitter twist!).

Just wanted to say good luck to the OP, you know how he ticks and are determined to stand upto him and come out on top with the flat. I can understand you biding your time for that.

I think though this is one very dangerous man, to go to the lengths of scratching his own nails down his back, l think you should have reported him straight away and let the police know. I would hope they would arrest him and do swabs of your nails and his to see where skin cells are found and also warn him about that behaviour. Calculating, violent and cunning - he could do someone alot of harm.

As a Man on this thread I can't understand why some partners are such !!!!!!, would they treat their Mothers like this? Personally I think certain people need a good fcuking kicking.

Sometimes in life you can't get every single thing you want. I can understand how you feel. You want to leave him as soon as possible but on the other hand you just think it isn't your fault to leave the flat, it should be him who steps out from the flat. But again you need to remember all you need to concern more is your life, not your money. I am sure God won't give any problem that we can't handle it. In every problem we have and every tear we drop, we need to believe that God will replace it all with happiness and smile.

I thanked you and person one because while emotionally I agree with you logically I can't, somewhere in the aggressors head they have a reason for doing this (a wrong one though) and for them so sort it out you have to break their chain of thought not reinforce it with a might makes right.
