I have configured Firefly to receive calls on my Sipgate number thanks to Toxteth O'Grady's excellently simple configuration instructions on post 150 of this thread.

However I'm having trouble getting 1899 to work for outgoing calls using Firefly. Can somebody please show a similarly simple way of configuring it to dial out using 1899 please?

It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!

I've just set up X-Lite with both Sipgate and 1899 using your excellent guide. I can receive calls OK but can't dial out. I assume it's trying to dial using Sipgate instead of 1899. Can you please tell me how to configure it to always use 1899 for outgoing calls?

X-Lite dials out on the 'default' SIP proxy ('line'), unless you specify otherwise.

You could swap the settings over so 1899 is on the default SIP proxy, and Sipgate is on Proxy 1 for example. (In System Settings, SIP Proxy).

To choose which account you dial out you can right-click on the phone and then select the proxy to use, or dial #1 before the number for proxy 1, #2 for proxy 2 etc.

Ok - I,ve set up Firefly with 1899 iax outbound and sipgate sip inbound - it works fine. Without the knowhow in this thread about how to configure it it would have been a nightmare (can it be a sticky?) and thanks to the people who give their time on this forum to help digitally disfunctional people like me!

I noticed that 1899 also operate as a sip service. Presumably you can't configure it as 1899 sip out and sipgate sip in?

That can be done, but having one as IAX and the other as SIP is more stable.
