Well the weekend was lovely but I ate far too much. I ran last night though and I'm due to run tonight too.
Best thing about weekend though is that DH and I reached agreement to try for another baby! No rush though as I want to clear this debt first and crack the running thing so that I'm running at least 3 times a week regularly before pregnancy. But he's been sitting on the fence for quite some time so it's great to have a decision. I have even more motivation now!
Update: Barclaycard CC payment went through today. One more month on this card to clear it. Virgin CC will be cleared on Friday. :j+1lb/6lb and £131.56/£500"Tomorrow is always fresh, with no mistakes in it." (Montgomery, L.M.(1908). Anne of Green Gables.)

CONGRATULATIONS BOBBLE!!!
Fingers crossed for ickle bobble soon thenhehe!!
Well I am back at work and sooooo tired, I woke up so many times last night after nightmares of being in a Steig Larrson style dream with the characters from Girl with a Dragon Tattoo... weird to say the least.
No engagement ring this weekend either. The BF spent an absolute fortune on the hotel, with dinner costing over £110!! I bought us lunch which was 2 cheese and ham paninis and a glass of wine each which came to over 35 quid! Anyways... I gained 1lb over the weekend but had the best weekend of my life! we went swimming, in the gym, sauna and steam room and were also the only ones in each!! Was amazing, like we owned the castle!! Was very strange to see the car being driven away by someone else to park it... and calling someone to pick up our bags!! We aren't used to the 5* lifestyle!!!
I'll add some piccies in a min!
Hope everyone else had a lovely weekend!! xxxxLife is too short not to love what you do.0 -

Ooooh Rdchick, your weekend away looks lovely, gorgeous setting and it sounds like you made the most of it.
Glad to hear you had a great time, amazed you weighed yourself straight after the weekend, I daren't even glance at the scales until Friday. I'm hoping to undo some of the damage before I assess it!:rotfl:

*puts Bovey Castle on the list of places to visit*
that looks lovely!
Am feeling better today. Started my walk with me game on the DS so will go for a walk later and have started the shed clearance. I haven't eaten brilliantly - had cereal for breakfast and a bagel for lunch with half a beef patty (v fattening) and pringles....... I am going to work on the exercise this week and attempt a conversation with mum about food etc.

I think my friend made a couple of comments aimed (inspired?) by me, "you could lose weight really easily in this heat" and "I think being here you have lost weight - you should carry on eating like this at home"
I tried very hard not to let it bother me but it hasn't exactly worked.
I just don't know what to do anymore to be honest. Living with Mum and trying to eat healthy food is pretty much impossible. I came home from holiday to find she has bought pringles cos they were on special and cakes and so much chocolate and no fruit. The whole eating thing is very difficult, I do go shopping for myself obviously - get my lunch stuff and breafast cereals but the evening meal is cooked by her. She is a great cook but hates cooking for two people and won't plan meals. I have always gone with the idea that me sorting out two meals means the third can be unhealthy but the reality has been that I dont eat breakfast, snack all day at work don't eat a proper lunch no time and then stuff my face in the evening on anything I can get my hands on. And of course that means stuff like pringles, mini cheddars, chocolate, today has been rubbish, I cooked a fry up (!) then had roast for lunch and didn't have any dinner.
I just cannot get my head straight regarding food. I am hungry now cos I didn't eat dinner.
sorry for the moan.
Buffy xx
Buffy, this may or may not help, but I'll share anyway. In between houses I lived back with my Mum for a while, I didn't feel comfortable eating at hers for reasons I won't go into. At the time I was cycling to work and back. I had cereal at my desk at work (we had a fridge in the office so I could keep milk there). I had a packed lunch of a cheese roll with salad and a packet of french fries (I can't give up my crisps!) and a small choc bar. In the evenings I had half a carton of fresh soup (sometimes with a roll). I lost weight without thinking about it.
I don't know your situation really but can you do a meal plan for yourself if your Mum is buying groceries and ask her if she would mind shopping accordingly, or that you'll do your own shopping.? It sounds like you Mum would rather not be cooking for two, which is how my Mum was.
Is there any exercise that you can make a part of your day, like your journey to work? I had to cycle to work or pay to take the very infrequent bus.
Treat yourself daily to the things you can't give up, but in moderation, this seemed to work for me, I have to have crisps and choc daily, I just can't seem to wean myself off.
I have a similar issue to you nowadays though as DH does all the grocery shopping and he likes treats, he goes out to work and I work from home, with a pantry stuffed full of goodies  I have to be very disciplined, it doesn't always work, but I just have a good talk to myself and start again in the morning.
Sorry if this is just ramble and doesn't help at all!"Tomorrow is always fresh, with no mistakes in it." (Montgomery, L.M.(1908). Anne of Green Gables.)

Buffy~
I have got hard with DS.
I will only cook for him if he is going to eat what I eat.
Failing that I leave him to get on with it.
It sonnds really dire but it really helps me.

Hello,
today has been better, I decluttered and tidied.
when I say my Mum doesn't like to cook for two I mean she always cooks for more ie TOO MUCH:rotfl:. She cooks for about 4/5 people and we rarely have leftovers.............hence the fatness. I am a product of my childhood - eat up, clean plate = good. Mum worries if you don't finish your dinner so I do........
I started to leave bits now - saving them for lunch which has worked when I am at work. Tonight dinner was chicken pie and veg - v nice. Although we had starwberry tart bought by me - food as a reward habit which needs breaking. we did a lot of decluttering.
Any how I am hoping as part of this thread I will find other ways to reward myself - facials? long baths........that kind of thing and not food!

Hi all, not looking forward to weighing myself on wednesday, think i will have gained at least 2lbs. Hoping i can do lots of exercise tomorrow to help not make it such a big gain. Have done lots of housework today, which may count towards exercise, but also did 34 mins on the just dance 2 game.
Hoping to get out of the house tomorrow to get a few bits and bobs i need and hopefully have a nice long walk aswell. Also its payday, so will be paying some debts but will mainly be putting money away for when i go to the seaside next week with my mum and boys.
Keep up the good work everyone
Rdchick, bovey castle looks gorgeous, but i would not pay that much for food, i am too tight fisted
Buffy- i do this too where i treat myself with fatty food, but have told myself that the best way would be to treat myself with other things when i reach a goal, so when i lost a stone, i got my hair cut, when i reach 2 stone lost i will be treating myself again to something else.PAD Maker0 -

Your Mum sounds like my husband! :rotfl: He cooks for 4 and there are never any leftovers, he does all the grocery shopping too and there are always too many treats! And I'm of the 'clear your plate' generation too, it is a nightmare combination isn't it?"Tomorrow is always fresh, with no mistakes in it." (Montgomery, L.M.(1908). Anne of Green Gables.)
