    Hi All,

Could I join you in this challenge?
I need to loose weight and sort out the finances, with the main aim for this month being eating properly at work so I don't buy take-aways on they way home!
I think for my first month I'd like to aim for 4lbs, with any more being a bonus, and at least £350 towards debt/MOT fund (I just know the cars going to fail!)
LBM - 08/08/11, total debt at LBM = £13,472.93
    MOT/Service fund - £230.22; halifax cc £314.60/£284.60 (9.5%); Natwest cc £2,106.53/£2076.53 (1.42%); halifax loan £11,051.80
    Weekly Spend Challenge £9.07/£50; Nifty Thrify Aug 0lbs/4lbs £89.16/£350 (25.47%); PAD from 08/08/11 - £89.16; 1 debt vs 100 days £59.16/£600 (9.86%)

Very exciting for you Rdchick, although officially annoyed that your projected weight loss for this month may beat mine :rotfl:

I've just done my first 20 minute shred session in my lunch break, Oh My Goodness! That was hard work, I even left the back door unlocked in case I had a heart attack!

I ran yesterday morning, it wasn't as hard as I'd feared after a 7 day break.

I'm not weighing myself until Friday, as I fed my cold last week and I fear the worst! But my first debt payment has gone out today (minimum payment on the 0% CC with longest term).

    So

This made me lol a little more than it should have!!!

I dunno about the projected weightloss... I have just eaten a rather scrummy cake but I think the walk I did will help burn some of it off :D I doubt I'll loose 10lb depends on this weekend :D xxx

We're off on Saturday - I am SO excited!!! I am also a stone and lb kinda girl but we have european scales (the BF is Dutch and so are his uber cool scales - they light up depending on if you have lost or gained) so I weigh 13 stone 9lbs now :) had a horrid lul for ages because I was gaining at the weekend then struggling to lose it by Friday!! xxx

  • Hi All
I weighed myself this morning and have lost 5lbs. Weight now 14 st 10lb. Woohoo! I have also paid £400 towards the CC this month and have cut up the CC so that nothing more can be added onto it.

  • Hey guys :)

Hope everyone else is well. I did finally brave the scales (on Sunday) and found out that I hadn't lost any weight, but I hadn't gained any either, so that was a bit pleasing. Hoping to have a tiny loss this Friday (all the self denial better be worth it!)

All the debt payments have gone but sadly, there's not enough cash this month to over pay.

And i discovered something really annoying. If you try to overpay your credit cards, they deduct that amount from your monthly amount, unless you pay it in this tiny windown of time, after they've called for your direct debit. That doesn't seem a good system to me, seems like a cheat to stop you overpaying. Am now going to have to alter my overpaying arrangements to do it after payday (after the DD has been called for) instead of the day before pay day.

rdchick - the run in the park thing sounds good, wish there was something like that down here. I need to find an exercise buddy. All the classes are full of very skinny people and I feel like the elephant in the room (literally)! It'd be nice to have someone to talk/laugh with.

    Anyway, back to work (sigh)
