Hi Buffy WELL DONE on not meeting up with the ex. He needs to be gone from your life. So good on your for being strong.
Nice one on a)having savings:D b) knowing you need to save pots of money and c) for looking forward to greece!
And don't psych yourself up for being stressed. I think you will find your job will seem easier now you have two less things to worry about...

I didn't get the same desk. It was very similar to that one though. The one I got was £25 second-hand. £40 is a really good price for a new one.

Well, in other non money related news I have decided to have a punt at my MA studies. I will freely admit now that this is a long shot, 5, 000 words by 28th July, 15,000 over the Summer break...........and that is dependent on the Uni letting me submit

Even if I don't get the Masters I'd get a post grad something or another so I am giving it a shot. I haven't got anything to lose by giving it a go. I have been listening to dear old Brian Tracy, self help bloke - bit hokey and I am a tiny bit cynical for such nonsense but he was talking about doing more reading to be an expert in your field - an hour an day and how much of a difference it makes.....so you know, I will give it a go.
I am strangely excited by the prospect............. who'd a thought it!!!!

Morning all,
I am currently in bed, late for work but wanted to drop by, I bought a Kindle last night.........so had to confess the burden. essentially it was a want although mainly for my Masters honest gov! Alot of the reading is online or on PDF documents which I could print and carry about but I know I won't or will lose and especially when on holiday I won't want to carry them around.
I am also hoping to carryout my first piece of research today! am quite excited!!
Have a good day all

The kindle has been mentioned on F_F's diary. I am torn between the love of the feel of a real book and the amount of space saved.
I am currently saving on Amazon with survey, cash back and bingo vouchers to get one!One small step for ME, one giant leap for my family!
2015 - my Amazon Gift Certificate mini challenge - saving to buy small household electrical items.

HI
Just taking a quick break at work!
I'd be really interested to hear what you think of the kindle! It's one of those things that I'm torn about!

Buffy! Ahaaaaaa Found You!! :j
So glad you haven't disappeared on us :T and am giggling in awe at the £1K instant savings. Still getting used to having £50 left over last month!
I wondered where you'd got to - though haven't been on here much recently due to masters exam and work traumas. Recovering slowly and have been told I can have some form of extension for the summer project, thank goodness.Buffythedebtslayer wrote: »How in God's name do you get over some one you love.
Um, my totally honest answer to this is that you don't get over it, you just get used to it. You've lost someone you loved from your life, and all the future that went with them - you would grieve them under any other circumstances, and I'm not sure my subconscious really understands the difference. I kind of find it easier to accept knowing that it might change but won't really go away, then I could stop getting impatient with myself or feeling silly. If that makes any sense at all
.
I am also dithering about electronic reading but have my eye on a Samsung Galaxy Tab instead of the Kindle...
