sorry if my list offended you.
Maybe you could look at the deposit for your house, as future debt that you are trying to 'pay off' as soon as possible. Would that remotivate you? Good luck with whatever you decide to do in the future. And sorry again.

Don't be a stranger, buffy - you may be debt free, but it is always nice to see you and have your input, whether on your own diary or on others.

There is no need to have your own diary if you don't want. You can share mine :)

    Nevertheless she persisted.
  • Hi Buffy

Drifting might just do you the world of good, but please pop in any time you like - you will be missed.

Thank you for sharing your diary - and especially recently, it really helped to know that other people have needed to adjust to actually being DF. It's still a way off for me but as I am coming to the end of the Masters and the car loan, and going back to full time hours, I hope that I will get there in 18 months/ 2 years or so. I couldn't understand why that idea was freaking me out instead of making me delighted - now I kinda get it, and know I need to go there and it will be fine. And I wouldn't be trying it or know where to start without this board, including you.

Oh phew that is a relief Buffy. I was really worried I had been too blunt. Good luck with the new school year. I have just had a revelation about my weight which I will post on my diary, so that will be my focus for a bit now!

  • Hi Buffy, I hardly ever post or read these days but now and then I pop in and your diary is always the first I go to as I've always admired your honesty and I like your writing style. I've also felt that your life was mirroring mine a bit so it was nice to remind myself that I'm not the only single person out there who is struggling. So it was great to find that you are debt free - how exciting. Huge congratulations. But I'm a bit sad too that you've decided to stop for a bit - albeit for the best of reasons. So cheerio then and all the very very best for the future. You have inspiried me to make some changes too. Thank you. DD x

    Hey Buffy,

I hope that you will pop back - I know I'm not on here nearly as much but it shows in my bank balance! This space helps me to be disciplined.

I agree with others - your honesty and experiences are so helpful, and your writing style is fab. I'd miss it if I didn't see it at all. Yu have achieved so much over the years - working towards being debt free, learning to drive, dealing with a very difficult job, living at home and taking care of your mum and so much more. Maybe now that those some of those massive goals have been achieved, you can focus on others that you haven't been able to.

Good luck with your future - your world is now your oyster!

Do keep us up to date - for me MSE wouldn't be the same without you!

Hey Buffy hope things are going Ok. I am imagining you looking at the teaching pages of the Guardian and Telegraph with interest now! Have you thought about going to your US sister for christmas? Wouldn't that be more fun than fuming all day?

Sorry I know this post is a bit random
