It is a new version of the shred
Keep going Buffy. x Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

I drove my mum to the high street
Never doing that again. My confidence in my driving is fairly low at the best of times but this morning did not help at all.
Only just got back but thank you for the lovely comments, very timely as when we got back I made tea and toast, Mum watched, criticised my choice of plate, then said something about having so much to do before she goes away and I suggested making a list (yes I know shocking coming from me) and she laughed, I asked why and she said well how many things did you do yesterday, I had done 9/12 and she sort of shut up but it upsets me massively that anything beyond, tv,dinner and sort of daily life we just cannot manage the basics of civil communication, she laughs at me and my way of doing things, she picks at things I do and can never relax. She doesn't seem to understand how long what I am doing takes, I have gone through EVERYTHING I own in two weeks, I have cleared and reorganised the shed twice, cleaned every bit of my room out, gone through my clothes, reorganised my room, bought new desk and guess what ALL that takes bloody time! And ok I have gone out and seen my friends and had some fun, I am holiday. She goes on and on about how she doesn't like that I pay so much rent (I pay the going rate for a room) and how this is my home, but it is not, I cannot do as I please without criticism, or have my friends over - on the other hand she has round who she likes namely my sister and does as SHE pleases all the bloody time.
I cannot wait to move out. Days like this give me motivation to save EVERY penny.

Hi Buffy - just been reading your latest diary. Glad to see you are now debt free and driving that is a major move forward. TBH you wouldn't be normal if you didn't get fed up living with your mum and with not having your own proper space... So I would say welcome.... LOL

Thanks Savingholmes xxx I do sound like a sulky child though.
I have been sulking for a bit, Poor me type thing.
I have just had the nicest e mail from my Masters tutor. I feel really lucky, I keep getting chances to do stuff. I must not give up!
Plan for next few months
1. finish decluttering. as much as I hate it it will be better in the long run and do the stuff round the house and garden that has been hanging over my head for years now. I am getting there, I need to remember that.
2. aim to have 3 thousand pounds in savings by the end of the year- I have set other targets but this one(with car and house stuff) seems realistic.
3. At some point during October/November get back on the MSE wagon re cashback, ebay, surveys etc. to save as much as I can towards the house.
THere was more but as ususal it is late and I am sleepy. Yawn.
see you soon xxxNevertheless she persisted.0 -
Evening, well done on the bags so far, you are beating me! I agree with putting the books on Amazon, I put 3 on and sold one in the first week!
Just one question - why do you need to pay for work on the house? Dont take this the wrong way but you pay rent, pay for the car etc, you did the bathroom last year too. If you move out will your mum look for somewhere more manageable anyway, so what you pay for will be irrelevant. It just seems crazy when you want to save for a place of your own.One small step for ME, one giant leap for my family!
